Mother India launched its individual style of authentic Indian cuisine on Glasgow's Westminster Terrace in 1995. The stunning, high ceiling property offered something new to Glasgow's discerning diners, a unique take on traditional Indian cuisine. A decade later, owner Monir Mohammed and manger Asam Rashid are still serving up their delights from their innovative menu. Simply put, this is the best Indian restaurant in Scotland, as voted year after year in the press. Food is made home-style and with great care. It's not hard to see why the queue is always so long. Service is always very good. Also try mother India cafe for the tapas variation!
