after reading all the rave i thought this place is def. worth a try. my mistake. never again. clearly those raving have never tasted good authentic thai food. perhaps they should visit places like sukothai to give their tastebuds a shock for GOOD FOOD. this was the worst thai place ever. under cooked pad thai and the egg smelled. my friend straight out stopped eating and we packed the food 10 minutes after receiving it and left.
A Zabihah.com letdown! Based on the reviews I was reading at Zabihah, I was expecting a 5-Star Restaurant, with a 5-Star Chef. What I found instead was a small joint in a strip mall, in a suburb, with all the additional amenities you would expect from such a location. Without doubt, the food was decent. But the cost was ridiculous. I was paying restaurant prices at a fast food place. I wasn't impressed, I doubt I will be back at current prices.
First off, let me share with you my pros and cons of this restaurant, after which, I will provide a concluding statement. Pros: Ordered: Thai Cocunut Curry Soup - beef Thai Red Curry Chicken Cons: Quantity vs. Price - ridiculous! It felt like they were trying to provide fine dining prices but at a low end restaurant Ordered: Pad Thai - chicken, beef and shrimp (pieces are so small, that we had to try and locate them amidst the big bell peppers) Spring Rolls - was filled with oil and felt very rubbery Chicken Satay - poor quality and less than 3 inches in size Shrimp Crackers - we ordered it, however, never got it, and billed for it though Thai Thai Crispy Wings - worst wings ever eaten in the history of mankind Hot and Sour Soup - mediocore Phad See Iew (beef) - beef was rubbery and so was the phad thai Ginger Chicken - we couldn't find the chicken! Garlic Beef - again, we couldn't find the beef! Conclusion: * Staff was friendly - given we were a huge group of ~ 10ppl * They added 10% tips without even asking - so beware! * Would ONLY return for the Thai Coconut soup and possibly the Red Curry chicken (take out!) * Was really pumped up with all the reviews below, however, I have a feeling, that, the readers below have never tasted other authentic thai restaurants in the vicinity.
Excellent food! If you want to experience different flavors....visit this place. It is worth the money!
Without any doubt they have the best thai food in the town .. i have tried Thai food from alot of different places but they were all not even close to this restaurants taste ans customer service. A great place to go to with family .. another thing i would to mention here is that we should give credit to the the owners of this restaurants who took initiative to have Halal food even though there are not enough Muslims in that Area. Thank You Mr. Sharma (Owner) for the great food and excellent customer service
I had the good pleasure of speaking with Br. Naresh (one of the owners) and he PROUDLY assured me , before I ordered, the food served was 100% Halal. It was very comforting to get that sort of enthusiasm to this question from Br. Naresh. We ordered the usual staples of Thai cuisine, which I recommend for any newcomer to Thai cuisine: Thai Coconut Soup and Chicken Pad Thai (keep the spice level moderate if it is your first time trying Thai) From my experience here, I can honestly tell you this is the best Thai restaurant in the Greater Toronto Area. "Awesome Food / Awesome Customer Service" I still have yet to try the curries on the menu, but I am looking forward to my next trip. I only wish it was closer to the East-End of the GTA. I drove from Ajax to Mississauga and the soup alone was worth the drive. Jazakallah, Qadeer Ahmed
Very good food and environment. Hot dishes are really hot, so be carefull
Food was excellent. Hot and Sour Shrimp soup was very good, as was the Red Curry Chicken and Ginger Beef. Seating is plenty but tight. If this opened near Square One it would be amazing, as there is hardly any good Thai food for the amount of demand.
TASTY TASTY TASTY, Just as good as the burlington location. Wish there was more seated service however.
Great food! too tired of eating Hakka Chinese all the time. It`s good to have a decent Thai place in town !
Primarily a takeout place. I tried tried Satay, Phad Thai with Beef and Cashew Chicken. Food is good but not great or maybe Thai food is not of my taste as this is the first time I tried it.
Great place! Food is in generous portions and delicious! I had the Red Curry Chicken
I had coconut soup with thair herbs and chicken spring rolls. I was testing out the soup for the first time, and it was actually surprisingly tasty. The spring rolls were so good, they tasted like chicken balls and I love chicken balls. My friend is so adamant about praying all her salat on time, so she took a risk asking the owner if he had a prayer place and he actually laid out a prayer mat for her in a backroom even though he's not Muslim. So that was cool. Small place, good food. Its far from the 401 though. The owner was very involved and helpful.
OMG! the food at this restaurant is AMAZING! We had chicken with cashews, stirfried beef, and garlic shrimp wih pineapple fried rice. The food tastes fresh and is just as good when you heat to eat again the next day. What can I say..every bite leaves you wanting more!
A welcome addition for those who are looking beyond the dime-a-dozen Indo-Chinese eateries. The food is a little bit on the expensive side (by around 20%) compared to the typical hakka joint, but more than makes up with the taste and freshness. I have tried the Chicken Pad Thai and it was great.
Agree with the positive reviews here. Fresh made-to-order authentic Thai cuisine. For those of you a little bored with your typical greasy hakka dishes this is an excellent alternative. Tried the sweet and sour thai chicken, the coconut red curry chicken and the chicken pad thai. Save space for the delicious ice-cream. Can't wait to come back.
Excellent food...tried green chicken curry and chicken pad thai....it was very flavourful. I wish there more such good resturants in GTA.
Excellent food. The portions are not small- they are just not family style (1 dish per person). Had the fried shrimp crackers- the peanut dipping sauce was spicy and great, chicken pad thai spicy, and red curry chicken spicy, and the deep fried chicken spring rolls. Everything was delicious and glad they used chicken breast meat. Great option in Mississauga!
Good very good, a bit on a pricey side given the quantity of food and sitting arrangement but still tasty food. Had a shrimp pad thai in lunch and did enjoyed it was tasty but as said quantity can be improved. A must go again place.
I totally agree, I went there with some co-workers the other day, and ordered a veg. Pad thai, I realized afterwards that they serve halaal. The food is amazing! and cooked right in front of you!
This place is the best kept secret of toronto. I wanted to post this b4 but never got to making a membership. make sure you thank me in your prayers lol. The cook is from the 5 star Shangri la hotel in bangkok. order any pad thai and garlic chicken thai style its grrreat! excellent food and service and its halal so enjoy!
