Bad customer service. Dinner ordering closes after 5pm. You don't have not very much choice of food. Straight away customers are told no ordering available. Only buffet. Tasteless foods in buffet. At the end. Charge is almost 80 bucks for 4 people. will not return at all.

Normally I wouldn't give such a high rating but compared to the only other option of Taj Mahal, this place deserves it. It was clean, staff and owner were extremely nice, the food was cheaper, and I was shown the halal certificate and even given the name and phone number of the farm they got the meat from! We ordered a masala dosa, butter chicken, biryani and a few more curry dishes. The food was ok tastewise (presentation was nice) but again, for the location and the difficulties, it was excellent! I had lost hope after going to Taj Mahal but I'm so happy I checked this place out. Please speak to the owner if you have any problems, I recommend you visit!

Wish I listened to the reviews! HORRIBLE FOOD! Husband ordered something sent it back after a bite, waiter forgot about my burger and when I finally got it... RAW RAW and RAW! Looked like it was out of the packet. Not cooked what so ever, by than I was mad and got up told my husband to pay were not re ordering or eating anything! One good thing about the restaurant was they didn't take our money because they said we were satisfied so owners were super nice but needs new cooks and servers! Won't be returning!

Ridiculously expensive but food was ok. Poor value for money. Would suggest visiting the other restaurants in the area that serve veg or seafood dishes.

One of the worst restaurants ever visited in my life. We ordered Halal dinner combo and there were quite few things missing as mentioned on the menu. Service was horrible. I got charged $10 extra and when I asked the server, she couldn't answer. when I inquired again, she refunded $10. I would rather have veggie anywhere else but wont go to this restaurant ever in my whole life again. BTW service and food quality both poor. Be careful......

We were at Lake Tahoe for 3 days so that was only halal place, goat karahi and naan were OK. Served old rice. Very expensive 50dollars for 2 people.

Nikki's Chaat Cafe, more like Stinky's Chaat cafe. By far one of the worst experiences I've had in a resturant. First of all, be warned that the owners are not muslim, and not everything on the menu is halal. Just the some of the goat and some of the chicken. The prices were ridiculous. The chicken tikka masala was $13 for a very small serving. The rest of the menu was the same way. Taste wise, it was horrible, I'm Pakistani and love Indian food, but I would never in a million years come back to this place.

I recently visited this Indian restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The ambience is decent — clean, comfortable, and welcoming, though not overly fancy. What truly stands out is the food; every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and perfectly spiced. The service was also attentive and friendly, making the overall experience enjoyable. While I noticed a few negative reviews online, I honestly think they don’t do justice to the quality of the food served here. If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine and good service, this place is definitely worth a visit. P.S: There is an 18% additional charge for dine-ins. But still it’s worth it. You choose what would you like 🙂

Really good authentic Indian food and the service was nothing short of amazing. We can't wait to go back and try some other things from the menu.

The Jain Paneer Tikka Masala was absolutely awesome—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The butter naan and tandoori roti were a delightful surprise, both thin, crispy, and cooked to perfection. To top it off, the gulab jamun was irresistibly soft and melted in the mouth. Easily one of the best Indian dining experiences in Tahoe!
