The food was excellent! The area in which the restaurant is located is a bit sketchy but other than, we had a good experience both with the service and quality of the food. Authentic thai cuisine right here.. Totally recommended for all who are looking for fully halal menu in LA.

I don't know what people were complaining about. Food was excellent. The noodles, steak and chicken were flavorful and delicious. They also had a prayer area in the back which was so convenient. Overall 5 star!

Been coming to this place for years. Service WAS excellent and food came fresh in huge portions. Fast forward to 2015. Been here a couple of times this year and service has been horrible. Had to wait 10-15 minutes for a menu. Then waited another 10-15 for order to be taken. Then another 45-60 minutes for some small portions of semi decent dishes. When we asked for "non-spicy" we got "why you sweatin so hard bro" spicy. Then the owner wanted a tip for the lousy service. Well if the food had arrived on time and service was good, we would have left a $$FAT$$ tip but subpar service and meals deserve no tip. Bottom line, skip this place if your looking for a clean restaurant that provides good speedy service and fresh delishes meals.

The food is legit here. Kind of in a seedy part of North Hollywood, and the restaurant itself looks like a residence. Nonetheless, the food is tasty, portions are large, and pricing is not bad. We had the chicken fried rice, drunken noodles (pad kee mow) and Penang curry. I've been here before, but was impressed with this recent visit. I recommend.

I can relate to a lot of the review here. The servers was a young man seemed very unprofessional and rude. i even heard him same something really weird to one of his patrons Once. He said why are you wearing a Gold watch kind loud tone. Most weirdist thing ever while I was eating. Place does not look like a reasturant at all very un kept reasturant. i shouldnt really even call it a reasturant seems like somebodies living room that is kept un clean. Food wise nothing great had rice steak eggrolls nothing special at all.

Tried combo platter B3 ...awesome Shrimp fried rice and ginger pepper chicken were good too. Ambience is casual and not very fancy. Prices are reasonable and service and taste is awesome. Highly recommended.

Aslaam Alaikum, I originally found this restaurant on Zabihah.com looking for a thai restaurant. Well where can i start, I have been going to Barnrau for a while now and I absolutely love this place! I am the type of guy that orders the same thing over in the menu, but this place I have ordered a lot! i travel the world and guys let me tell you, the authentic REAL thai food is here guys, the originality is here! my fav is the the PAK DE MAO,! its so good, spicy or regular! the shrimp soup is extremely tasty too, it has the fire in the middle of the serving platter giving you that authentic thai soup delivery, therefore its hot throughout the whole dinner or lunch. and the most craziest thing is, they recently got BURGERS in their menu, yes BURGERS! surprisingly, i have tasted all of the halal burgers socal, i find their burger to be amazing, i mean unbelievably delicious. my usual order is: chick fried rice with chicken, shrimp soup (you can have it with or without coconut milk, i like without its so tasty and soothing), chicken satay (with peanut butter sauce yumm!), coconut water (real water straight from a real coconut air shipped from thailand! so good!), chicken dumplings, penang curry, and PAK DE MAO, my favorite tasty with chicken or beef, i like chicken tho just in general. the PAK DE MAO has that slight secret spice where you know its spicy but you keep eating because the tastebuds are calling for it! its SUPER GOOD! & i get their burgers on and off, but they fill me up very good so sometimes its a hard decision to go with the burger or PAK DE MAO,both are good though. i give this place a 10/10, and as for their service, when you go there often, the relationship you build is amazing, almost like family. the owner is the best owner a restaurant can have, he is very nice and humble. as a strict halal person, i am blessed there is an authentic halal thai restaurant. Ive had some of my family come from norcal, and they also loved it over the norcal areas that had halal thai! Ive also took my friends from torrance there as well, and they love this place.. honestly i came on this site, and i noticed a lot of bad reviews, sad to see that when i didnt see any of that since day one i have been going there. I personally think some people that have bad experience they post more than the people that are satisfied, i know so many people that love this place, and they have not posted a review yet, after eating here 1 year i finally posted a review! Dont let these negative reviews fool you, go try it for yourself, you wont regret it thank you zabihah for locating this restaurant for me!

I relay on zabiha to find a restaurant with delicious food and a nice place for me and my family, this restaurant is my worst experience it is totally overrated and expensive . Absolutely low quality tasteless food ,Not to mention a disgusting atmosphere, you feel that you entered someone's apartment. When I went to pay the manager I was shocked, it is not cheap but overpriced.

When I first ate at this restaurant I did give them a 5 stars because the service was very good and the food is delicious! The food is still incredibly delicious! However, I am lowering my rating because the restaurant is not organized and very messy. It bothers me. Why can't they take pride in their business? Simple things like picking up trash lying around would really improve the appeal to eat there. Additionally, their service has gone way down imo... I am writing in hope that the owners will read this and improve inshAllah.

We LOVED this place. The owner/older gentleman was really nice, very helpful. The food was so delicious and very authentic. The place is a small hole in the wall location but dont let that fool you as the food was awesome. We go to halal places for halal delicious food, everything else takes a back seat ( as long as the servers aren't blatantly disrespectful). I would definitely recommend this and next time i go to CA, definitely returning!

The food here is good, no doubt about that, but the interior is so dirty to the point of being filthy, that I will NEVER go back again! There were piles of shoes, broken electronic equipments all over, mismatched dirty chairs and tables, dusty framed photos, dirty aquarium with filthy fish - I lost my appetite completely. I wanted to walk out, but my friend had already ordered, so we stayed. The fried rice and eggplant dish was just as good as any other Thai place, but honestly I could only eat a spoonful, I was so grossed out. This would be an okay restaurant for a guy who cares only for the food, but honestly, this was a really dirty restaurant!

We have been going to this place for the past year and everything on the menu is incredible! Some of our favorites are the Fried com fried rice, BBQ chicken, satay chicken, (we love chicken!) and Tom Kha Gai, and the Pad Prik khing. The wait staff is very friendly and accomodating. We will be coming back to this place for years!

I was in Universal City for a conference and attended the local mosque for Maghrib. One of the friendly brothers recommended I try this restaurant for dinner. The atmostphere was nice, the owners were extremely helpful and the food was delicious. I had Lemongrass Soup and Chicken Pad Thai. They were big servings also. There was only two other customers at the restaurant when I went but I noticed the daughter of the owner was sitting with them and discussing how to make certain thai dessert dishes. So I must say, they are very friendly and helpful. If I visit LA again, I'll definitely swing by again.

As Salam Alakum Brothers and Sisters My friend went here the other day to go dine in with his family and when he got to the front there was a sign from the LA HEALTH INSPECTION of how dirty and filthy this place is they got shut down for Cockroach infestation SECTION 114259.1 and the other thing my friend didnt tell me what it was but they are CURRENTLY SHUT DOWN! I warned my friend about how dirty this place is before he went!

One of the best halal Thai food in the area . Although sitting area is not very clean but food was nice . Their home made cold drinks were delicious as well. Owner is Thai Muslim from Pakistan origin .

I love the food here excellent. I am a big Thai food eater. Ive been going to this restaurant for a long time. the owner isnt rude just really quite ive notice. he speaks low @ times and isnt a big talker. ive had great experiences here. the facility could be a lil tighten up and maybe not so cluttered. However, as a Muslim myself i always try to be very friendy to every restaurant i go to no matter how they may be. I believe all ppl need customer service training no matter what race, religion u are. I recommend this restaurant for the food....it is great.

Forgot about eating at this place... I simply made a phone call to confirm if the meat is zabihah halal and where the owner normally buys meat from. The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE and nasty. Obviously, he has no training in customer service whatsoever... I'd never go to a place like this... this dude calls himself a muslim but lacks Islamic etiquettes... horrible, horrible.

The waiter, who is also the owner is very rude, and gives attitude. My father, son, and I went to the restaurant. The place was so untidy. Food was ok. Waiter came, gave us the menu book. We chosen different items. Waiter brought egg rolls first that my father ordered. There were only 4 rolls where the menu showed 6. My father just asked, that menu showed 6 and you brought only 4. There were no apologize or anything instead the waiter said to my father that you don't want it and I can take it back. Then he said that was the old menu, the menu has changed. First of all, he should've not showed the old menu if it was changed. Even if he did, should've informed about that. Secondly, he should've apologized instead of giving attitude that if don't want it, I'll take it back. I will never come back to this restaurant, and will tell my other friends as well. I've never seen such extreme poor service in any restaurant.

Was in LA/Hollywood area for vacation, looked up Halal places, found this. Walked into this restaurant was surprised to see it was empty, we were the only patrons there. Food was amazing, loved the chicken fried rice. Also had the Thai curry which was also the best. The place was not the most tidy restaurant, but coming from nyc, we know not to expect clean restaurants and top notch customer service, especially when prices are low. As previously stated the daughter was on the phone and the owner was nice but not a professional waiter. Do visit this place for excellent Thai food, you won't be disappointed.

The owner is very friendly despite his dauther, who is always on the phone! Their food is good but the restaurant is a little bit dark and messy but not uncomfortable. I've been there a few times. The spring rolls are great, the mongolian beef was good but too hot for me. It's good to give it a try. As a restaurant I will give it 2 star but as a halal restaurant I will give a 3 stars.

This restaurant has a very cozy setting. It is really nice to go on a date with your spouse here. The owner is a very kindhearted Muslim brother. They have a nice prayer area too. Very clean place. The quality of the food is wonderful. It is pricey and sometimes the portions feel small. However, i would still say its well worth it. We have tried other halal Thai places but did not get the same welcoming feeling as we did here.

No doubt the food is good but probably it's the only good this about this place. When you walk in it does not feel like you are walking into a restaurant but it's more like walking into someone's home where you and not welcomed at all. I can ignore everything but just cannot ignore getting forced to pay tip like many others have said ..... my sincere advise to the owner that with such a good quality food , plz plz pay attention to your restaurant cleanliness and organization too..... Act like a good muslim .... show respect to your guests .... show them you care .... and try to hide your greediness by not asking for TIP...

This place is now terrible. The food is sometimes pretty good, but the service is bad in almost a bizarre way. They will be rude and bring up the tip. They will have dirty dishes on tables. They will seat you next to the bathroom that smells terrible even from a distance. They will make you wait. They will ignore you and talk on the phone. They just don't care about the customers. The food is not always tasty anymore. The orange chicken now has almost no chicken. I used to go there frequently. I will never go again. I'm not sure what happened. Old Review (was 5 stars): The food is really good here. Try the orange chicken. As far as I know, this place is the only place that makes the orange chicken consistently good, just the way you want it. The Thai steak is great. The Korean BBQ is great. I wish it was cheaper and closer to my house because I would eat there all the time.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was hesitant to go to this place, with not much options of halal Thai, I finally took my family and gave it a try on Ramadan, And I'm glad I did we did have an excellent experience, the food was veryyyyyy delicious, the service was great and felt very comfortable, we were able to join Maghreb pryer on congregation inside the rest... we had free dates and some appetizers to break our fast.... Let me start by saying I went here with very high hopes based on the reviews which say it's an excellent place to eat. So we get to the place and walk in, its a mess there's half eaten food on the tables and the fish tanks were filthy. There's random household items lying around and the girl working there who I assume is the owner's daughter is on her phone chatting away. I ask for a high chair for our daughter and she points in the corner so I go and get it myself. We sit down and look at the menus. About 10 minutes later she comes back to take our order. I ask her if there is anything she recommends and she asks what I mean, do I want beef, chicken fish etc? I tell her it doesn't matter, she gives me a dirty look and asks again. At that point I just end up ordering because it appears that she is gong to be of no help. The food came and while it was being served, the girl was talking on her cell phone. I thanked her and got no reply. I thanked her again and dead silence. I want to add that the food arrived and it tasted good, I don't have any complaints about the food or quality of the food. However, its the service which is beyond abysmal and despicable. After we finished eating, the snotty girl was away to the side chatting on her phone. I told her I wanted two boxes to pack our food, she hands it to me and I give it to my wife to pack the remaining food. What ensued afterwards, has to be the worst customer service in the history of the restaurant industry. Even Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares would not be able to save this place. I hand her my credit card and pay, I sign and hand back the receipt. She asks me in a rude tone "Will the tip be in cash?" I tell her I'm not giving a tip because the service was terrible. She begins to harass me first by rolling her eyes then saying "its a restaurant, everyone gives a tip this is the first time i've ever seen this." "Are you giving a tip or not?" I bluntly told her NO, and said that i've never experienced terrible customer service like this before either. She puts a line thru the tip section of the receipt and slams her pen down and goes into the back. I have never been to a "restaurant" which harasses their customers to this extent, first by rude, pathetic service then verbal harassment when paying. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, even though the food is good. Its really a shame that they treat their customers like this. I think they're living off the fame of having their name in the paper a few years ago, or this girl was going through some kind of personal issues because she is giving her own business a bad name. In conclusion, a horrible experience which I will erase from memory after submitting this report.

Salam. I recently moved from the east coast to Burbank . Thanks to Zabihah.com I found this great restaurant . The food is very delicious and fresh . My family really enjoyed the food . We ordered Tom Ka gai , buffalo wings , chicken satay and I think spicy beef fried rice . And for drinks we had a taro(the purple one) boba and thai iced tea with boba. By the way, it was my first time trying a boba drink . We're totally in love with everything at Barnrau . The service was very good . They even have a place to pray . So we ended up praying maghrib with the owner . He is a nice guy . The restaurant is nice and clean . Unlike the other 2 comments below me, every time my family goes to a Halal restaurant, we pray that it stays in business for us Muslims. Negatively over exaggerating in comments will not help Halal restaurants to stay in business. Saying that the food was cold is unlikely because I know for a fact that they cook every dish one by one and serve each dish immediately. Plus, the shampoo thing, just because you see a shampoo bottle doesn't mean that they live inside the restaurant It's very sad to see negative comments that seem unreasonable such as those. My husband and I are going back this weekend with the in laws from London.

Salam everybody Ok so i went to this restaurant thinking it was gonna be good i had a horrible experience EVERYTHING was just horrible the service, the place, the food was cold it wasn't properly cooked. The place is just a mess I dont know why that is there is nothing good about this place at all PERIOD! The person right below me mentioned it was a mess, I saw shampoo bottles and other things which I have never seen at a restaurant i think the people live at the restaurant. I will not be going back and do not recommend this place to anybody

Lets see wow where do I start, well my wife, kids and I decided to come here after reading about it on Zabihah.com. My thought was wow great, a Halal Thai restaurant, lets go and check it out. After waiting a few minutes by the entrance, the gentlemen with the beard whom we later found out was the owner, walked is over to the table with no friendly greeting at all but only a "this way", we sat down and he walked away without asking us about any drinks nor did were we given any menus. About 5 minutes later , the gentlemen brought over menus and still didn't ask about any drinks and walked away, My wife was thirsty but I did not feel it was appropriate to yell across the room to catch his attention as he walked away. After another 5 minutes, the gentlemen came over and took our order, we ordered 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and an order of soup, not to mention we had to tell him that we would like water and 1 soda. It took approximately 10 minutes to get our drinks and total of about 20-25 minutes to receive just our order of soup. The rest of our order (2 entrees, 1 appetizer) came approximately 20 minutes later making that a total of 45 minutes after we put out order in. I can honestly say, this is by far the WORST service I have received at any restaurant period! This place seemed to be grossly under staffed, not sure if the owner is trying to cut cost but the lack of employees is really hurting whatever image is remaining. FYI, this restaurant is very small with tables soo close to each other that you do not have any real privacy, everyone is probably ease dropping on each other's conversations. Also I really don't understand why there are soo many Fish Tanks all over, in my opinion they just don't look good and give me the place a dirty vibe. It's also a dirty place with about 20 fish tanks in there the owner needs to know the fish tanks look horrible and don't need to be there. Bottom line is these people need to stop being cheap and hire some additional employees to help because they will be losing customers such as my family with the HORRIBLE service we received. We were very hungry that day and soo soo close to walking out decided to stick it out and just not come back. BTW the place is kept in a very filthy manner, looks more like a messy house then a restaurant. How this place is rated at the top of the San Fernando Valley Zabihah Is beyond my comprehension. The quality and taste of the food was decent, maybe 5 or 6 on a scale of 1 to 10, nothing special. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AND WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE!

We make it a point to come here anytime we are in the area. Good food and the owner is friendly and jovial. Try the crispy noodles and Thai Iced Tea. Yum. Location is definitely not the best though. I wouldn't go here alone at night or anything. I would love to see this business thrive.

So this place is definitely a hole in the wall. Yes, the place looks kinda run down, but honestly, that doesn't affect the food at all! The food is amazing. I've been here a handful of times, and the food is always spot on. From the fried rice and buffalo wings, to the thai steak and coconut soup.. it always makes me wanna go back for more! I'm not going to hold back on the stars when rating this place, even though the location and decor are not very appealing. And I know I can't speak for everyone here, but at least when I look for a zabiha restaurant, I care mostly about how the food is (and decor is just a bonus). So if your hungry for some zabiha grub, I would totally come here cuz the food is for sure 5 stars! And I really don't know where else you can get super authentic zabiha Thai food in North America, so take advantage of this place when u come to LA. Good food, plus the owner (who I like to refer to as Barn Rao Uncle) is always a nice guy!

If u like to get food from this place best thing is to take out or have it delivered. Food is okay especially since there is no other halal Thai place in the LA area that I am aware of. However, the ambiance and decor of the place is not my cup of tea (pardon the food pun).

One of the best halal Thai places i've been to. Excellent service. My favorite dish was the Pad kee mao , Thai steak ,satay ,and tom ka soup. The portions are very generous & the food came quickly. Looking forward to going back! Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my meal here...i was visiting LA from Austin and went to this place after reading all these reviews. For Appetizer i tried their Satay (Chicken)-Grilled chicken on a stick with peanut sauce. I highly recommend it.Food portion was good for the price. I then ordered ORANGE CHICKEN for meal...i think it was too sweet, but that might be due to the reason that Satay chicken was sweet too. Over all food quality was good, It was close enough to Burbank Airport that's where i was fly out of.

Excellent authentic thai food. The chicken satay with peanut sauce appetizer was particularly good. Would definitely recommend the place. The owner was particularly nice and had a pleasant personality.

when i called I thought the owner was very rude ,cause i asked him where he gets his meat from after eating Halal meat which we found out the meat was not Hala from another Oriental establishment i was hesitant,but when we got there it was a great place and the food was awesome the owner turn out to be a nice guys ,we will go back thanks

First time visiting Los Angeles and I found this cool little restaurant that serves great food and great costumer servicce. I would recommend anyone to eat here! I wish we had something closer to home like this. Plus there is this cool little praying area.According to Gvision im sure there are two sides to this story, and I dont think a owner would kick someone out of a resaurant because they are 20 min. late especially because they would lose money as well. There had to be more of a reason why you or anybody would be kicked out.

Me, my husband and daughter went to the restaurant to try the food as I heard from a friend that the restaurant has the most similar taste of Thai food from where we came from. As soon as we enter, the owner say salam and give us one kinda look. Then his friend came in, and instead of giving us the menu, he was busy chit chatting with his friend. After 10 minutes and few attempts to get his attention, he came with menu. And it took him another 15 minutes to come back to our table and get our orders. Mind you, that was like 8pm and no one else in the restaurant except his friend and us! My husband started to get annoyed when he tried to small talk with us, but more like being boasting about his life and being nosy too! We managed to order (finally!) and the food came after 15 minutes. The owner aside, the food was good, especially the tomyam! I asked my husband, will we be coming again, some other time, coz I really love the food? My husband just said insyaAllah, but I know that he is not too keen as I think he finds that the owner is annoying. And the food is pricey..oh well, but I really love the food!

I went to this restaurant a few times; food was decent, prices pretty high. Regardless it was halal, and I thought its all good, despite the rumors I heard of bad service and nosy owners who love to gossip. One day, I ordered food on the phone, and then I confirmed with her (owner's daughter) by calling back that my order was in, and that she had my phone number. She told me to come at around 9:45 PM to come pick it up, I came at 10:05 PM , around 20 mins late. Once I arrived they told me they don't have my food. I asked why what happened; they said "I come late". And I tried to get more information and they didn't tell me what happened to the food. Did they throw it away? Did they resell to someone else? Was the food even ever made? I mean I was only 20 minutes late and I called a SECOND TIME TO CONFIRM THEY HAD MY PHONE NUMBER SO THEY COULD HAVE EASILY CALLED ME and have asked if I was coming. Fast forward 2 months later, I'm driving in the neighborhood with my sister, and tell her this place has good soup, so I stop by, walk in, and the owner looks at me: seats me down, gives me the menus, comes back after 3 minutes and says: "you can look at menus but I can't serve you", I asked "why?", he responds "you do VERY BAD THING last time". I asked "what did I do?" He said "you don't know what you did?! BY ALLAH, you know what you did," some reference to my last visit when I came 20 mins late The he continued to raise his voice and make a scene. Please note, I have no relationship with the owner, I don't know him at any personal level. This to me sounds ridiculous. At this point people are looking at us, and it's embarrassing, embarrassing for him and for me. He starts yelling, "You are not a boy anymore, you are a man, act like a man", I really don't know what that even means, because I repeatedly kept asking "what did I do?" Then he said "don't come back here!" and his face started twitching with anger, and be basically kicked me out of his restaurant.

We recently came in for a large to-go order for 13 people. The meal was cooked with the same consistancy as an individual meal, everything was packed well, and the price was reasonable. For me, the meal was excellent as always! One of the families we brought this food to were so impressed with it, that they drove nearly 50 miles the next day to eat there again.

I go to this place all the time, and the food is always excellent, with very generous portion sizes. The staff is also very friendly. Please remember that users who leave overly negative comments usually have some sort of agenda. This place has a very high rating for good reason :)

The food here is amazing. Its comes pretty fast and is reasonably priced, very fast service.Friendly staff...from the minute you walk-in! .The portions are huge.Definately would eat here again when back in town

A very "un-organized" and dirty place to eat. Food is nothing special. Price is somewhat high comparing to other places. The lady server/owner's daughter really, really needs to "brighten up" and smile at the customers and shake-off the rudeness. We don't need that from you lady. We get plenty of that from "others." The only reason they are still in business is because, they don't have competition in the area, positively not because of quality food or customer service. I have never seen any "local american" or "mexican" customers dining there because of the above reasons. And also slow service. Serious lack of "professionalism." It's about time they started running the business like professional which will attract other customers along with muslims. I wish i could go there more often.

Owner is a practicing Muslim. He asked if I need to pray Maghrib prayer before asking for food order. Later he asked everybody in the restaurant if they were fasting for it was 10th of Muharram. Food was really tasty, specially Tom Yam Kai soup. It was a good experience.

AMAZING THAI! Prices are great. Thai iced tea = AMAZING. The service was great too. I would def go out of my way in the middle of LA rush hour traffic to go to this place!

Love this restaurant! Halal thai food and ridiculously good Thai food at that. Ive been here a few times and here are my Absolute Favorites: Chicken Fried rice, CHickent/Beef Satay, Pad Thai, Green curry.. the list goes on. The food is simple delicious. Highly recommended and am looking forward to ordering take out this weekend :)

My first review ever, actually signed up on zabihah with the intention of praise where deserved. I think Barn Rau is a must go for all the Muslims living / visiting San Fernando Valley. Their food is authentic Thai. very reasonably priced and great taste.

★★★★★ Best Thai food i ever had. Real authentic. I have eaten(shrimp and fish) and high end Thai restaurants but i have to say BarnRau was better than them. If drinking the tom ka kai, ask for the hot sauce dish which contains the brown spice/sauce which makes it more spicy. Had soup, satay, orange chicken, pad thai. All were excellent. Took the bbq wings home and they were very good, had thai sauce on them. Price is very reasonable. Will definitely recommend this to anyone, muslim or non muslim. They get their meat from Asian Spot, which is hand slaughtered.

This is real Authentic Thai Food that you will be eating. The Owner of the restaurant is a really cool and funny guy. As for the food itself. It is the best I ever had. This is the real deal and the price is reasonable, and its wonderful having to see everyone else enjoy their food and loving every moment of it.

The food was really good, but be careful if you do not want steamed rice, send it back. The server asked us 2 times if we wanted steamed rice and we told them no. They brought it anyway and before we could send it back, my kids started eating it. We got charged for it, but when I inquired about it they comped the steamed veggies instead.

The best halal thai food I ever had. Every dish we ordered was exceptionally good. Really liked the steak, wings & chilli chicken.

The food is not that good. You will get small portion of food. The service is horrible. We only see the lady most of the time. She has no smile,no courtesy and also has attitude. When she brought the food, it was not the dish that we order. So, we told her it was not the one we ordered and she said yes.We already tried the one that she brought by mistake which was the curry and we ordered the other dish which was the crispy fish. Instead of sayin sorry had changing the dish, she had lied to us knowing that we knew she was lying. How could she do that. That means she doesn't care that she will lose the Muslim customers.She should take customer service class or something. I hope the owner knows that and hire somebody else.Although my whole family like thai food, we probably won't go there anymore.

I went there so many times and the food is really nice. Owner is muslim and I do see him all the times in Masajid for Salah.

I have been to Barn Rau Thai innumerable times, and all my trips have been flourishing. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They have also donated food a couple times to a local Masjid here on Friday prayers. When you come here, anticipate authentic and tasty Thai food. I always try something new here, as the menu is very extensive with more than 100 items. I would suggest the following: Chicken or beef Satae(#9), Panang curry(#48), Pad Ke Mao noodles(#71). Make sure you seize time to browse the entire menu, because you'll definitely find something you like. No matter what you order I bet your going to walk out planning your next trip back!

The Greatest Thai Restaurant in he NoHo area. Try not to order something on the menu that you will dislike, it doesent exist. You will leave satisfied, 5 stars !

I was so delighted to discover this wonderful restaurant! The place is astonishing. I'd recommend anyone who hasn't tried their food before. Their place is marvelously clean. Their spices smelled so fresh that they made me smile while indulging my meal. My trip going there was absolutely fabulous! Barn Rau is now officially on my list of unforgettable restaurants.

The food is GREAT. I forgot what it was called, but my favorite was item #69 (some sort of beef and rice-noodle dish, very spicy!), and the combo-rice is great too. The Chicken Sataay is delicious. The food is cooked to order, so it arrives fresh and hot at your table. Takes some time too cook though. Inside, the restaurant is very clean and decorated nicely. The neighborhood doesnt look too great though.

I love thai food and when my friend informed me of this place I was excited because she has great taste. The owner was very helpful and water service was wonderful. I ordered the BBQ platter with chicken and beef but I would suggest ordering the soups and terriyaki beef. The satay is WONDERFUL and was moist. They also have fresh coconut and other exotic drinks.

Very delicious food..The owners are Muslims. The combo fried rice was awesome , so were the Buffalo wings and BBQ chicken. You should definitely try them. I had gone to this place few weeks ago, the Hot and sour didnt taste that good and parathas were different kind. I learnt that the owners were not present in that week. (they were prob in Thailand ) . I went again last week, the food was super delicious . The only problem now is they take little more time than usual to make the dishes, but I would still wait to get those yummy dishes. Hope they rectify this asap...One more thing, they are open on Mondays , unlike many desi restaurants.. Also, I live in Noho and shall go to this place every often Insha Allah. one more thing, the ambience is very good.. pretty cool interiors !

Best Thai food i ever had. Real authentic. I have eaten(shrimp and fish) and high end Thai restaurants but i have to say BarnRau was better than them. If drinking the tom ka kai, ask for the hot sauce dish which contains the brown spice/sauce which makes it more spicy. Had soup, satay, orange chicken, pad thai. All were excellent. Took the bbq wings home and they were very good, had thai sauce on them. Price is very reasonable. Will definitely recommend this to anyone, muslim or non muslim. They get their meat from Asian Spot, which is hand slaughtered.

Thai food is my favorite food and finally a Halal Zabihah Thai restaurant. Though the area is not so great, the restaurant itself is nice and clean and good for family. The owner/service was nice and the food was excellent. The chicken satae appetizers with peanut sauce are great. My favorite soup,Tum ka kai (chicken coconut milk soup), is amazing. You can ask for more spices to make it to your liking. I tried the garlic beef which was delicious. Felt great to finally have the chicken pad thai. Didnt get to try the chicken wings and steak yet, but I definitely will Inshallah on my next visit there. Recommend to everyone and give business please because I don't want this restaurant to close.

I was amazed by the food! I have not have Thai food this good anywhere in the Los Angeles area ever. Though it is not traditional fare, definitely try the spicy chicken wings. They are amazing. The Yam Neua (Spicy Beef Salad) and the Pad Kra Prao were great. They made the Yam Neua just as spicy as I like it with just as much flavor. I usually don't like Pad Thai because it has a somewhat bitter after taste, but I scarfed it down here. Also, the interior of the restaurant is very nice and they have a designated spot for prayer. The owner and staff are also very nice and attentive.

New restaurant recently opened up in North Hollywood area. Our host Alif was very nice an courteous. Hot and Sour soup was good. We loved the Setae appetizers and thai chicken fried rice. Although the area is not so great, inside of restaurant is not bad at all. Will definitely go back and encourage others to give business to them.
