It's a hit or a miss. Not consistent with the food taste. A popular place in the area for their specials and sponsorships at local Islamic events. Worth a try.
Taste is good!
Tandoori dishes are good...I won't recommend any of the curry dishes...unless you like spending time in the toilet...made me sick a few times...
I have been going there ever since the restaurant opened ( don't remember the exact date) love the food and service. I usually order full tandoori chicken with naan and its always perfect. Other dishes I tried recently are nihari, lamb karahi, veal qorma and biryani. There naan is always fresh. Never had any problems with them I do mostly take outs and place my order at least half an hr in advance. I will be going there again
We order takeout often. Usually get the family combo. Good deal and food is usually good. But, if you order off the menu, they often get the order wrong so double check your takeout. The staff are pleasant and helpful so i dont know where the confusion comes from. The place recently changed ownership and IMHO the food quality has dropped somthey just get an average rating. Silverspoon opened recently a bit up Brock and given the new local competition, you'd think (hope) these guys would upmtheir game a bit to better compete, but it doesnt look like it.
Dined in once and have gotten take out a few times. The chicken biryiani or chicken pilau is good - spicier compared to Silverspoon and places which I liked.
I usually get take-out from Food Time as I live very close, but came for dine-in recently with a couple of friends. As per their suggestion we got a dinner for 4 with some mango milkshakes. The tandoori naan that came with it was fantastic, as was the butter chicken, chicken biryani and kebabs. Food came out fairly quickly and service was average. I'll probably stick with take-out but not a bad option for dine-in if you're in the area and craving the fresh tandoori naan and kebab experience. BTW for take-out they have pretty good daily deals, I usually get the wraps but they also have great biryanis for around $5.
Completely agree with the rest of the reviews, the staff are very unprofessional, the restaurant is falling apart, the decor is cheap, and the food is well below standards of other restaurants. The mehdai (sweets) are always the expired.
My Wife and I have given this resturant 2 tries, and both times have been disapointed. The staff seems to be smiling but if you start asking questions they clearly start getting upset. The food portions are way to little. We ordered their Halwa Puri breakfast, and received less then half bowl of chana(bowl being the small ice cream bowls most people have at home). By the time I took out the chana for my self there was nothing left for my wife(I am a rather thin man and dont each much). We spoke to the server and asked why we didnt get a fell bowl and were told thats all we get in one order. The food tastes no different then what most can make at home, and the actual resturant itself isnt in the greatest shape. Would we come here again, NOT AT ALL. Recomend this resturant, NOT AT ALL!
The owner Mr. Shams is a pleasant gentleman. However the service is a bit slow. Some foods are good, biryani, karahi, nihari to name a few. Some foods are justy ok, daal makhni and most vegetables. Their Naans are awesome. Reminds me of Pakistan. Generally not bad at all!
Good food but the Biryani is exceptional, people who are ardent Biryani Fans can rate Food time's biryani as one of the best Bombay style Biryani (more red masala then green usually available) in GTA. Only other biryani comparable to food time's is Packwanchi in Scarb. You can get this Biryani at Masjid-Usman Pickering after jumma but at shop a request for more masala increases the joy. Other items are also good
