Founded in 1972, Popeyes has more than 40 years of history and culinary tradition. Popeyes culinary heritage is built upon the rich Cajun and creole flavor profiles that are unmistakably Louisiana. We continuously draw upon and celebrate this heritage to inspire new, authentic menu creations the world craves. Popeyes distinguishes itself with a unique New Orleans style menu featuring spicy chicken, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and other regional items. This unique and flavorful food has allowed Popeyes to become one of the world's largest chicken quick service restaurants, with more than 2,700 restaurants in North America and around the world.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. As of 2011, the chain has shifted from a certified hand-slaughtered supplier to a certified machine-slaughtered one, as confirmed by Popeyes corporate headquarters. Restaurants confirm that everything is halal and that all ingredients are different to their US stores (i.e., all gravy and sauces are halal).
Score reflects a halal certificate on file.
Fast and easy to order. Pretty standard popeyes establishment. No more than 10 table for dine in. Clean washroom. They carry 2-3 halal certificates from different halal vendors.
3 word: Best chicken EVER!
The chicken at this location doesn't taste the same as other Popeyes restaurants. I don't care much for it.
This location is above average and better than the other Popeye's locations in the GTA. The food is fresh and tasty.
Best chicken ever!
This is the worst managed, dirtiest popeyes in the GTA. The owners are indian, the place is NOT clean, the food is not like other popeyes restaurants and even the fountain coke has no gas. I have been here twice and both times I had the same feelings. Not worth it definitely! Not to mention the staff is rude and they are always playing annoying music.
they have good food takes a bit of time to prepare but worth it. be patient if its busy sometimes takes a while for food
Just wow, Mariam is one rude employee. I had made two different orders. One I recived in an okay time frame but the other order was a ridiculously long wait due to Uber orders. I was totally okay and patiently waiting because I was aware of the Uber line up but when other people who ordered after me are recieveing their orders, that is when it becomes an issue. I then asked Mariam where my simple $5 wrap is. She then says its coming but no one had even started it. She then walks off as I was talking to her and did this hand gesture that the Punjabi culture do which made it seem like she didnt give a rats behind. I then spoke to the manager and requested a biscuit for the rude inconvenience which he ended up giving but as I was walking out, MARIAM looked at me and laughed like she was trying to get other customers to get on her side but no one smiled. The restaurant was quiet and the loud laugh was clearly heard and intentional because I had requested something for the inconvenience. I then walked back to the counter and requested her name and the manager who gave me the biscuit and witnessed everything. They made it seem like I was looking for any reason to get a cheap biscuit. So I told the manager to take the biscuit back and give me his name. He then says " I already gave you a biscuit, im very sorry." He repeated this at least 7 times and tried pushing the biscuit to me but the issue was never him nore the biscuit. He never did give me his name like he was already under fire and didnt want anymore smoke. She then spoke over the manager and even stormed out of the counter area to confront me to my face for calling her the B word. Yes I ended up calling her the B word because she was clearly acting like one and threatening to kick me out. The manager tired to wait for all the customers to be served so he can ask her to apologize but I told him, if she can do what she did infront of everyone, then she can clearly apologize as well. He then stops her from working and made her apologize but of course, she was far from sincere especially with the tone and reactions she gave but I still accepted. I told the manager thay he can really keep the biscuit because I got what I wanted from her but he was still nice enough to slip it in my bag. Again this could have been avoided if Miriam handled this properly. This incident happened Feb 3rd,2026 at around 6:55pm
