Very questionable place. Except one person nobody understood what's halal. Beer bottles served on mostly all tables. Not recommended for Muslims.

I am reviewing for the location in Surrey: I ended up visiting the place twice in a month. It has great service and excellent food. The food is spicy but still tasty. I have tried their: Manchurian beef, the sauce was great but the beef was strangely very soft and it seemed to be cooked with baking soda; spicy fried wings: those are my favorite very crispy and very spicy but totally worth a try. The chicken fried rice is good mellow fried rice, not overly seasoned and tastes good when eaten with other dishes. The house chicken is a favorite of mine, not a lot of gravy but can still be eaten with some rice. The shrimp wonton soup wasn't all that great. I was a bit unsure about the halal status so I called the halal meat they order from and they confirmed that they supply for this restaurant.

I am a lover of Chinese food, so whenever I find a chinese halal restaurant with good rating, I go there. So, call me crazy but I took a train and walked 1.5 miles from Vancouver downtown (while on an official trip) to get the food. There was no Halal sign so I asked the waiter and he did not know. Then the owner came and assured me everything was Halal and in fact spoke to me in Urdu. Strange to see a Chinese female speaking Urdu, but it turned out she was born in India. I just asked the waiter for his recommendation and he said their ginger-something-something chicken was very popular. I loved it. I found the price decent, so compared to other places marked $$$ on zabihah, I would say this is incorrect. I would give it $$.

I ate here last year. Great food, slow service. I'll go back when I return to Vancouver.

I find the price rating of this place is $$$ whereas we paid a fair and reasonable price. The restaurant is clean and nice. Our hostess was barely able to understand our order. We were served in 10 minutes. Food was delicious and quantities were adequate. Will go there again.

the area was quite crowded so if you are planning a visit book ahead of time. If you like Vegies then this is the place for you. Staff: busy

I had lemon chicken which was quite nice, Sezhuan (sp?) prawns at "medium" spiciness which wasn't that spicy but quite tasty. The shrimp fried rice had a generous amount of shrimps in it. I'd say standard Chinese food, but given that it's Halal (I asked the staff when I called who confirmed) it was a decent meal. I'll go again when I get the Chinese food craving :)

Blech... ordered a very common chinese soup, hot and sour soup. They really messed that one up. Very sour and not spicy. I've tried other dishes... not good. And I have given them fair chances as my friends go there often and my family orders out from there. Greasy, overly-sugary, and tough. The quality was also low. I don't know why people like it so much.

Nothing exceptional about the food. Ordered chilli beef, chicken corn soup and Manchurian chicken fried rice. Food taste was typical for any Chinese place ... although quantity was decent. Soda comes in a small vine glass and refills are not free ... costs $3 for 2 small glasses of flat soda ... ripoff ...
