A small and interesting location close to the Westin and Via. Open all week. The inside seats only four - this place has mostly to-go orders. The owners are Muslims and recent immigrants, and they can verify that the food is halal.
The owners are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
A unique spot. Small in size but large in taste. I was quite satisfied by portion size as well as quality and taste!
Amazing food and service. The owners are very friendly.
Quite and cozy, with the most pleasant restaurant staff around. I love this restaurant! The food is exquisite every time, and the prices are fair. The restaurant is extremely small, like a two car garage, but the smiling faces, exotic dishes, and fairly cheap eats make it more than worthwhile to return again and again. My suggestion, try the Liban-Khiyar (cuke salad), ash-e-reshte (amazing soup), and the koobideh kabab, and finish with desert and chai of choice. About 25$.
Good food and people with a reasonable price.
The location is indeed small and very interesting, but the food is very good and the owners are very friendly. I would totally go back next time I visit Halifax.
We really love this place, it’s honestly our favourite Persian restaurant in Halifax and the one we recommend to friends first. The flavours are always good, portions are generous, and the atmosphere feels welcoming without being over the top. The only small thing for me is the koobideh. Sometimes it comes out a bit on the dry side and I wish it was a little more juicy and tender. When it’s perfect, it’s amazing, so I know they can do it, it just isn’t always consistent. That said, everything else we’ve tried has been great and we keep coming back. For Persian food in Halifax, this is still the best option in my opinion.
