Been using this market for all my meats for almost 5yrs, special order of organic on request. Reasonable price. If you need something and he doesn't have it, he will order it. Cold cuts also available, great for kids lunches. It is very clean and orderly and doesn't smell like meat or spices like other places Br. Bilal particular about getting Halal meat so we do trust him. We have tried his philly cheese streak which is really good as are the falafels.

alasam i own the store we buy the meat from American halal meat and he get it from alsalam compnay so all the meat are zabihah,,,, alahmadallh razak from allah u did the post b/c the price i know u get angery so good luck we buyit from walmart hhhh call american halal meat ask for mustafa

These guys are lier. We purchased meat from this shop early March 2014. They told us all meats are halal. However, when we attempted to authenticate their halal certification; they told us they collect meat from As Salam, then when we called As Salam they confirmed us they didn't sell meat to these guys. Brothers who are looking for halal meat - DO NOT buy from these STORE, they are deceiving their customers selling NON-HALAL meat as halal.

Best Halal supplies place in the area. Brother Bilal is very friendly and helpful. He gets you stuff as special order what he does not normally sell. Very reasonable prices , may sound high to some but I assure everyone his profit margin is nominal. Very very clean place as compared to others in the area.

SUMMARY: Extremely friendly, genuine and helpful staff. Clean. Great tasting food. Perhaps slightly more expensive when it comes to Halal Meat (Raw). We recently moved to the area and read excellent reviews so took a trip down to the Deli. Brother B., the guy at the store helped us over the phone in order to get there quickly. It was later in the day so he was the only one in the store and we were the only customers but he really made us feel at home and gave us a very genuine, warm, Palestinian welcome. He made sure all our needs were met and that we enjoyed our visit. He even added free rice pudding for us at the end of our meal as a welcome-to-Richmond gesture. The food tasted great (we ordered a cheese burger, chicken shwarema and philly steak sandwich). Everything was fresh and delicious. The grocery shopping was very good too but I think we're used to cheaper halal meat prices in Michigan so the meat seemed rather expensive. We have not had a chance to compare with the rest of the market but I'm guessing its at par. Chicken was good and fresh and the turkey slices were fresh and delicious. I will definitely go back to this very comfortable store and would encourage others to visit if they've not been there before.

I lived in Richmond for 12 years and this place was probably one of the greatest things to happen to the city! Their steak and cheese sub and cheeseburgers were amazing! This is my favorite place in the area to buy meat. It is clean and well packaged and they give you exactly what you ask for. They have a wide variety and are quite friendly. . Prices are comparable to everywhere else. MashaAllah, brothers were very friendly, and helpful.

Store is nice and clean, friendly staff, burgers and fries were very delicious, and service was great. They even had halal prepackaged turkeys (november). I think I'll be getting mine here next year. Scarf/hijab I bought my wife fell apart after two washes (gentle cycle), I know they didn't make it, but they sold it for $10 and a $10 scarf shouldn't fall apart so fast.

I am a regular customer there. Good service and very friendly staff. Also, they sell HAND-SLAUGHTERED CHICKEN. This is the ONLY place in Richmond which sells legitimate HAND-SLAUGHTERED chicken. MACHINE CUT chicken is NOT halal. All As-Salaam products are hand-slaughtered and this is what they sell here. Oh and the steak-and-cheese subs are good too.

Asalaam Walaikum! This place is wonderful. They have excellent food and deli, Very reasonably priced, so makes it all worth it. Really good homecooked food. They had baked lamb kofta in a tomato cravy delicious, grilled lamb kofta, baked chicken, hummus, babaghanoush, salad, yogurt w/ cucumber, it was very delicious. Look forward to going again. Owner is a very friendly and service is excellent.

I have gone here a bunch of times, the guys are always nice and they have the best deli meats. This is the only meat store i have been to that has fresh deli sliced roast beef, pastrami, and smoked turkey! My hubbie likes the deli style over the prepackaged turkey bolonga so we go here to get our meat.Also prices are way better than another meatstore i used to go to in the area. The also sell subs , gyros and dinner fried chicken, lamb ect for good prices. Its worth the trip if u are in hampton roads area or Richmond/area

This is my second time coming to this Market, I drove over an hour with my father to stock up on Halal meat here. They have a deli and have halal, turkey breast, pastrami, roast beef etc. They also serve lots Halal foods like Phillycheese steak, roast beef and turkey subs, fried chicken, and Midddle East combo plates like Chicken kabobs and lamb shank. Today I had the Philly steak sub, it was delicious and I took the rest of it home and had it for dinner. My father ordered the lamb Shank, which he raved about. The food is really good here, the store is clean and well organized. The workers are always nice and helpful, a must stop if you're in the Richmond area.
