Quality is very good, overpriced in general (even for local stuff, e.g. Nescafé). Pay attention to expiration dates.

A larger-than-average halal meat market, Mid East Market boasts a wide variety of middle eastern and south Asian products. Pretty much all the staple products you need have multiple brands and styles to choose from. Rices, flours, beans, lentils, grains, spices, canned goods, sauces, desserts, juices can all be found on the shelves. Their frozen section is larger than you would expect and has everything from pre-packaged turkey and fish, to paratha and vegetables all year round. They also have quick foods like burgers and chicken nuggets, turkey and beef strips and cold cuts. The meat section is quite well done and well staffed. You can see that the meat is very fresh and they package it to your specifications. The guys who work in the meat section are always friendly and greet you with a smile. Beyond the meats, dry goods and frozen sections are the refrigerated sweets which are sourced locally and from Chicago. They are about average price-wise and have a small but nice variety. They also have fresh snacks made daily that include samosas, meat pastries, gulab jamun (warm) and jaleybi (warm). This is right next to the mini restaurant area (there is limited seating) which offers a variety of snacks like tacos, burgers and sugar cane juice. The produce section is fairly varied with your standards like onion, garlic, ginger and chillies, to fresh turmeric, lychee, eggplant varieties and other south Asian and middle eastern standards. The cashier staff is pleasant and they are often busy. Sometimes the lines stretch around the aisles, but they get through the orders quickly enough. They are also willing to advise unsure shoppers on what items mix well together and to translate for you (when you call you mom from the store because you can\'t figure out what spice she meant when she said it in the native language). I have heard that they do deliveries for larger orders but I can\'t confirm that. They also do catering.

They have all type of grocery but they don't see expiration date and some time they erase expiration date if things have expired all things are too expensive

I think that's discrimination or pre planing propaganda against the mid east market .any one have a rights to go ask the owner. There is nothing wrong with this market about the product.some people are jealous the popularity.

Although they have a good variety of food and spices, sadly, they sell goods made In Israel, and I see no excuse to that. When I confronted the salesman, he went like well we can't any thing about it. Even if a Palestinian is owning the company, Israel is definitely benefiting, and that's a NO NO.

The food quality has declined. It is pretty bad. The Pizza is not edible at all, we paid $11 for a small size pizza which ended up in trash. The chaat and kabobs were too spicy even for Indians sitting across from us. I would only buy groceries from them, the food is disgusting and unreasonably expensive. We paid $40 and left hungry.

This place is good for a grocery store, but for a chat house its not good. The biryani tastes like it was couple days old and the sitting area is a joke. And the employees were rude. Needs alot of improvement.

They have a great selection of spices. An OK selection of frozen foods, and an OK selection of vegetables. They have a clean store and mostly tidy, however many items are not priced. They offer some ready made chicken tikka to take away, as well as samosa and snacks like this. As far as the meat, it is usually OK, However, the butcher almost always gets my order wrong. They do not seem organized for the butcher, they just scribble down your order on some scrambled pages, and when it is very busy there is no system for order, no lines, no tickets, just a bulge of people around the butcher counter. I also do not like how they package the meat in some tied up plastic bag rather than packaging the meat properly. I sometimes order chicken pieces and I get this un labeled bag full of chopped up chicken pieces. If you do not ask them before hand to properly package your meat, then chances are they won't.

Good place to shop for all the Indo/Pak, Middle eastern groceries. Meat is fresh and the service is quick. Addition of fresh vegetables has made this place a one stop shopping centre.

The store was clean compared to my experiences with other halal stores. It was well organized but prices need to be posted for dry and frozen goods. I purchased some chicken breast and the price was very good ($2.40/lb. special, normally $2.90/lb.) and competitive with prices that I have seen at the biggest grocery store chains.

Reasonable price. Could be cleaner, but it's OK. Usually halal meat grocers are slow in service, but not this one. The meat is obviously zabihah halal.
