Assalam o alaikum. Went to tamarind a couple of times. Their lamb chops are very good as well as boneless chicken tikka. Give it a try

Restaurant depot has certified halal meat section. They get their meat from same vendors as our regular halal grocery stores. Restaurant Depot will not falsify halal labeling to destroy their brand. Please know your fact before posting these type of reviews. The owner is a regular at Walnut mosque and will not sell haram meat to his customers. Finally, this review is not written by the restaurant but their customer.

The owner and staff are very friendly. Service is really good. They have a daily luch buffet for about $9, which is a good deal, and to try various dishes. They give you fresh garlic naan with your buffet. I had a birthday party here also for a child with about 30 guests, and the owner was very accomodating and helpful. A lot of the customers are non-Muslim, which is an excellent dawa. It also means that the atmosphere and style are very inviting and not alienating. One of their best dishes is the BBQ Tandoori chicken, which is thoroughly cooked. As some restaurants don't cood it well enough deep inside near the bone of the chicken piece. Also, the herbs and spices are very suitable for the masses. Meaning not hot spicy. Instead, it's delicious herbs and spices

Tamarind has beautiful decor; its very rare to find a halal Indian restaurant that has a sleek, contemporary decor, but that's exactly what you find here. 5 stars for the decor and cleanliness of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. The dishes were bland and lacked flavor. We had the chicken tikka masala, which was extremely spicy, the lamb chops, chicken tikka and seekh kabob. None of the foods really stood out; needless to say, our initial excitement over the decor was quickly brought down to disappointment with the food. 5 stars for decor and service but 2 stars for food. Insha Allah the food quality improves as the restaurant looks great and we would like to come back if it does.

Honestly the decor is sooo nice, very romantic atmosphere but the food is just like water down desi food. Honestly, the food isn't tasty or taste like desi cooking. They really need to work on their cooks or hire someone that knows how to give the food a desi flavor not a watered down version of desi food.

A PLEASANT shocker. I went with my four kids for a buffet lunch and was quite surprised to find excellent quality food, courteous service and clean everything! Evidently, this place is under NEW MANAGEMENT- two young Pakistanis, committed to serve halal food in a halal environment. SUPER CLEAN place which is quite unusual in the South Asian community. The buffet was in abundance & very reasonably priced. Excellent Lassi on a hot day. Kids and I both loved it. Will return again soon. Highly recommended if you are in Inland Empire Area. These guys also cater. I've already booked them up for my children's Aameen.

Although I was hesitant to go in with family but I am glad I did. It's the "cleanest" desi restaurant I ever experienced. very moderately priced and great food service. evidently, the owners are new and committed to halal environment (no booze - no unlawful sights & sounds:) ... will recommend anyone, anytime. good luck Tamarind.

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem Tamarind is under new management. I enjoyed the food especially the punjabi style 'karahi chicken' with fresh naan. Oh, and the kheer was out of this world, excellent. The food was not too spicy so no case of heartburn as is the norm with other Pakistani/Indian restaurants. And, must taste the mango lassi on a hot day. And, lastly I have not seen any desi restaurant that clean and neat.

Tamarind is under NEW MANAGEMENT! I went for buffet there and it was absolutely appetizing. The decor and ambiance is unconventional for a desi restaurant, it is perfectly stylish. I highly recommend re-discovering Tamarind.

Very fancy ambience. Food was just okay and there are more tasty options in the surrounding areas. For the immediate radius, it is the only Halal restaurant option.

The restaurant gets a 10 out of 10 for its decor especially since its a South Asian restaurant and we hardly spend money on ambience. But the food was not good at all. If you're desi, then you can cook better food at home. The only good thing was the naan and that's it. This restaurant is more for people who don't know much about indian/pakistani cuisine. I'm also not sure about how zabihah the meat is as they do serve alcohol on the premises.

Beautiful set up, however, the owner is extremely rude. I did not even eat there because of it. She made it seem like I was not worth her time. Stopped by to eat and just had some questions about the restaurant since it was new. The servers were extremely polite, however, I don't think I will be going back there after the treatment I received from the owner. It would serve the restaurant better if the owner took pride in customer service and made the guests feel welcome rather than making them feel like a burden.
