Tashreeqas is the only halaal late night sit-down coffee shop i know of in the western cape. they are accommodating with their menu. if you are going to order pasta, you wont find much chicken or beef in it. and if you really want cake, ask the waiters what is the freshest cakes. waiters are friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. they wont come to you at midnight and say you must leave as they are closing. live music most fridays and sunday evenings.

In the three times I've been here, I have yet to leave satisfied. Menu is very limited, and food is consistently of a standard well below expected. Service is terrible - I found a caterpillar in my salad once and had to suggest to the waiter myself that he aught to apologize and inform the manager or cook. I'd give this one a pass. I've heard some fair reviews of their cakes though(which they out-source).

The food there (yummy pasta!) is always good, BUT there isn't a really big variety menu-wise. Their cakes are first-class though (Classic Bakery is their supplier).
