Avoid this place, I have been to the Maroush off oxford street, service and food was excellent. This place had appaling service. I wne the with a friend, sat at the back again. Had another American customer sitting by himself, while ordering our food notice he was trying his upmost to get the waiters attention. They had served his meal but no drink, the poor guy waited so long, we thought we would get better service. I could go for ages about the service here, pita breads were cold and hard on first serving and the fresh and warm on the secound, starters and mains came in together, food was sub standard in comparison to the other Maroush. Mains were large, by the time you finish your starters their cold! It does appear while your there that the Arab customers get a much better service.

I visited this restaurant twice. The first time it was with a group of girls (Asian and Arab) and we were treated in a barely civil manner by the staff. The second time I went was with a mixed group (Asian and Arab men and women) and the staff were blatantly rude to us. As a Muslim woman I was appalled. Some of the food was OK, like the hommus but the lamb was very fatty and tough. Its not worth the prices they charge. I'd pay it if they were semi-decent to non-Arab customers but clearly they aren't. I will not be going back again.

We went in August 2004... Never again. The service was appaling, the staff DO prefer arab customers and extremely rude otherwise. It was like they were doing me a favour! Oh and to top it off, I puked up on the street after about 15 mins of eating there.... Food was very expensive for bland vegetables etc. We got a mea thing, and with that you get a bottle of alcohol, we asked if we could have soft drinks instead of the alcohol but were told they would cost us extra even if we didn't have the alcohol. The worst restaurant expereience ever.

The food at Maroush is fairley bog standard as you would get with the same arab restaurants such as Al-dar. The problem with Maroush is that the waiters seem to be nice and friendly to arab customers, but when it comes to other people from diffeent ethnic bakgrounds THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. If you want ok food and poor service. The this is the place to go.

Ranoush Juice, one branch I've been to on Edgware road is always busy (a good sign). The lamb and chicken sandwich takeaways are a bit runny/messy but good. The fruit juice drinks are out of this world!

Maroush is okay. It has a goodish atmosphere. Good is a little expensive but that is reflected in the taste. Worth a visit if you are around that part and enjoy a busy atmosphere.

I have been going to this chain of restaurants for 15 years and would vouch that this is the best lebanese food you can get in london, all at affordable prices. The garlic sauce used in the chicken sandwiches and other dishes is the signature feature of this group pf restaurants

I like the place, the waiters are always charming with me- the food is good, depending on your taste - chicken dishes are usally good, i didn't really like the meat dishes as they were pretty bland. The veg dishes are not bad- silghtly spiced, which is good.

I have been to the Maroush just off Oxford St (Opp Bond St) and I have to say that although the food was ok the service was poor - the waiters were rude and seemed to favour the arab guests (maybe there was a language issue). The food took a while to arrive and all in all was quite expensive

This is part of a chain of restaurants. May favourite is Ranoush Juice, also in Edgware Rd, where there are some 6 others nearby from the same chain. I have visited Maroush restaurants for 20 years now, and they are always excellent!
