The owners of this restaurant are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status. All food at this restaurant is certified halal.
Authentic Pakistani cuisine.

Very disappointed with the food. Very ordinary taste. For such an old restaurant and having such bad taste, not acceptable. I do not care if you were having a bad day, if the food is not perfect every time, i am not going there ever.
It and affordable restaurant. Go for it.
Food is overpriced and bland. It is pretty obvious that the owner is trying to squeeze out as much margin as possible. I would highly doubt that anyone is going there for quality.
Average food, average places, bad ambience... served water in dirty plastic pitchers; there are better places around.
Had a chance to go into this place while visiting Manchester, CT. The food was really good, especially the biryani. A little expensive on the prices, like $ 4 for a raita and $ 9 for a biryani, but i guess its unfair to compare it with prices with NY. The restaurant is practically in the middle of nowhere, so it was blessing for us that we were staying at a hotel nearby and found this place. Would give it a a thumbs up !
Been here twice, had their yellow daal, chicken biryani, chicken samosa/patties and chicken korma. Daal was good but the korma didn't have the traditional korma taste at all. The daal and biryani were good. the chicken samosa wasn't bad but below avg. Service was quick though. As for pricing, It seemed to be about the same a few other places I have tried. I don't find the pricing for desi food in CT to match the flavor so far.
I often order take-out from this restaurant. One of my fav places to order food from in the Hartford area. Their kebabs are very good. Also try out their haleem!
I must say the food and restuarant was amazing when the first opened up and the first couple of years. But as time went on, prices went really really high, service slow,no AC or Heater when needed. Food quality also dropped with time.
This placed used to be good when it first opened up, however over the years they have gone down hill. The food isn't that fresh, quantity isn't that great, and prices are sky rocketing. However the two things that are pretty decent are chicken tikka and seekh kebabs, but over all its not that great.
The best Pakistani food in New England. Period. The place is clean, the servers are friendly, and the food, especially when Talat cooks himself is exceptional. Their tandoori roti is excellent and I can't decide which one of their meat dishes is better. My wife loves their seekh kababs and samosa. Their chargha is also excellent. A place to go to if you like good food in a happy environment. The only down side is that they are close on Monday.
i've been going here for 4 years now.i love the food here especially the samosas, naans and barbecue. the service is good.the place is great and very warm and welcoming, although the prices have increased over the years . will definitely take my family here and recommend it to my family and friends...:)
My husband loves their kababs and we alway sbuy extra to freeze and eat later on since its about an hour away...Friendly service. Lovely raita abd chutney....and the naans are good too. We only ever have naan and kabab, I once had tikka boti and that was also pretty good, didn;t think the goat biryani was all that though!
very bad food not fresh and prices r sky high cant afford to eat there with family.watch ur prices.
VERY SLOW SERVICE. the food is good but the service is very slow. we need more halal places in the hartford area.
This is by far the best Indian/Pakistani food you could ever taste and I am very picky when it comes to ethnic cuisine. I drive 35 minutes to eat there! I heard that some people drive from other states to visit this restaurant (MA and NH) I don't blame them!
I had a chance of having lunch at raisham,It was a very good experience for me.Everything was very tasty specially the kabobs.Qorma however was not very good.Anyways gud luck to them and its an above average restaurant.
Been there a few times. Food is authentically pakistani and great. They asked for the intensity of spice in the food prior to serving. If you're in the area try them.
The owner's name is "Talat Pacha" who is from pakistan. This place really rocks, with mouth watering korma. You should visit this place more often.
well...sorry not agree with all u guys...its not as good as other restaurants...kababs has like no taste...freshness...hmmmm well taste matters more...kids are cute! but we dont pay to look at the kids....
we were visiting CT so we went there for luncht after reading the reviews, but it was little disopointing .food was ok . the only thing i like was'Nans.definatly kids friendly because of their kids.
During Ramzaan we used to order from Rasham for our Iftaar parties, the food is awesome.
The Mutton Briyani (or Goat Briyani as what the restaurant called it)and Sheesh Kebab was excellent. Would certainly come back for more when I am back in Connecticut. Prices can be made more affordable for ordering / trying more items.
food is great, service is good, everything halal, what else do u want?A++++
Great place, but I think we need more halal resturants in the Hartford and UCONN area, alot of potential for more restaurants, please we need more restuarants.
I think the food is pretty good, although there is very little variety. However the service is appalling. It took an hour and a half for our food to be served and this was with most of the restaurant empty! So in all, it was OK, not a place I'd go again.
Very good food in a kid friendly environment. Their food is fresh and tastes more like the food one would get and not overdone with spices. Best of its kind in this area.
They have huge signs in the windows boasting that they sell beer. Very disappointed. Will never go back.
Relatively speaking, the best place for halal indo/pak muslim cuisine in town. Naans are smokingly fresh.Biryani is adequaely spiced and 'dummed'.Menu is lmited and has nothing authentically Bengali on the menu despite the advertised claim on the outside of the restaurant. But owners are nice people. However, I find the latinized spelling for the urdu word for silk a bit confusing. I would have spelled it resham or raisham.Spelling apart, every thing on the menu tastes great [ relative;y speaking].
For the authentic culninary experience of Indian/Pakistani sub continent, this place is certainly great. Reasonably priced and spiced. understaffed, but attentive waitress. Every thing I had was good and their chai is extra plus.Certainly recommend subsequent exploratory trips.
The food is great and excellent value for money. Be sure to try the Chicken Seekh Kabab and Chicken Biryani. Halal for sure.
The food is good compared to the price, everything else in Hartford area is very expensive
Excellent food. Tanveer is right, if you have not been to this place you are missing something good. The owners and staff are very friendly.
Rasham is one of the best resturant in Connecticut and Alhamdolillah 100% halal. The food is very tasty and the price is very low comparing to other resturant in area. Sheesh Kabab, chicken tikka, chicken korma and paya are the best. If you haven't been their then definetly do it.
