Food had great flavor and is Zabihah halal as all Masala Woks are provided by Fresh n Tender a halal supplier. Food has great large portion sizes and tastes very good. My fried rice had lots of meat. Would highly recommend the Yellow Curry Fried Rice but everything is very good. Both the Chinese and Indian dishes. I also liked the Orange Peel Chicken and the Blazing Noodles my daughter loved eating.

Disappointment! On our recent visit to Dallas we visited this fast food with lot of expectations. I agree that idea of fusion food really tempts. However their food just lacked flavor. We tried their Hot n' sour soup, Hakka noodles both of which tasted absolutely bland like plastic. Orange peel chicken was good. Id say they can do lot better.

Unique fusion of Indian and Chinese food that my family liked. I was given a verbal assurance the food was halal. Based on their recommendation, we tried the yellow curried fried rice, kung pao chicken, and CTM. Food is pretty good, quantity was ok for the price...not traditional but good for a change and worth a revisit.

Not at all good and its pretty darn expensive as well! Almost all the dishes with gravy taste the same - chicken tikka, butter chicken, chicken masala - all are the same, in the same orange gravy. Also the staff does not understand most of the terms like halal zabiha etc, add to it they are a little uncourteous as well.

Sorry Masala Wok but this is probably my least favorite restaurant in all of Dallas. First I highly doubt its halal because there are pictures of wine bottles everywhere and they serve it. Plus, when I asked an employee about if the food was halal she said no and said it was from wellington farms, I don't think she knew what halal was. Food was either very very bland or very very spicy not coming back.

They have Halal certificate on display. Food is good and they are very fast. Cafe type atmosphere. Order, take a number, and they will bring the food out.

Not good and very expensive. They serve alcohol and not owned by Muslims so if you are absolutely not sure about the halal don't go there, besides it is very expensive. I think the owner is interested in teh UTD traffic and just want to buy halal meat for Muslim audiance. Again not good and expensive.

Regarding halal meat: my friend asked the manager whether the meat is halal. In reply he showed us a halal certificate provided by the meat supplier. The meat supplier's name is Fresh and Tender something. The food is excellent in this restaurant. Anyone who has doubt over the halal meat can ask them to show the halal certificate and can verify himself.

Masala Wok food portions are small in comparison to prices. Employees are not friendly at all. They recently reduced the food portions. Atmosphere is nice. They don't say food being halal in the restaurant.

There is a serious doubt that the food is Halal/Zabiha. Most cashiers dont even know what Halal or Zabiha is, and its not posted on the menu or makes any mention of it around the resturant not to mention they actually sell beer there... I would not eat there unless there is concrete evidence that the food is halal....

Me along with my big family went to Dallas from Oklahoma city and we tried this restaurant. The branch in Richardson, conveniently located, close to UT Dallas. The food was good, we all enjoyed it, the only thing is, i didnt c any Halal Sign on the window.I hope it was Halal, I did call them b4 i went there and they confirmed on phone that the food is halal. I would definitely recommend it to any1 who is going to DFW area to try this place.

The chicken tikka masala is excellent if you have them make it extra spicy and in a larger portion. Almost every vegetarian dish on the menu is bursting with flavor with lots of ground chick peas and a great variety of sauces. Their raita is simple and authentic. After eating there 2-4 times a week for a year, I can say that the food is always fresh, always tasty and the service is pretty good on average. Masala Wok is a great place to take a friend or friend's family if you aren't sure about their food preferences; there's something for everyone and the chefs are happy to customise a dish to your specific requests.

I didn't even know this place was a halal establishment until I accidentally turned to a local Indo-Pak radio station and heard their commercial stating they served only halal meat. (I wished they would've advertised in the Muslim Yellow Pages or something.) They have a nice website, www.masalawok.com, and the dining area is very "hip", but I think the food is a bit overpriced and not that great. It was a little heavy on the sauces and fried-ness and greasy. It didn't make me feel very healthy, not even like traditional IndoPak food since I tried some of their wok entrees. At least the menu is easy to understand and I did like the lamb kebab appetizers, though! To its credit, it did receive very good reviews in the newspaper which are linked to their website along with the menu and location information. That, I do appreciate!

A good blend of Indian and Chinese! The fried rice and chowmein are delicious. So is the chicken tikka masala. The menu is simple.
