Superb dish! I prefer the spicy one. This is a beef noodle restaurant. Selling only beef noodle. And a delicious one!

for a supposedly famous restaurant they need to have longer open hours. Its very easy to find at the NE exit of Zhongxiao Dunhua station, go east to the first light, then north on lane 223 for one block. This is a busy restaurant area by the subway station but this restaurant closes at 7.30pm on a saturday night when all the other restaurants are still busy. I had to walk north to Beining Rd by the Taipei Arena where there were more halal restaurants. There were young people working there, not an elderly couple, and the place was still busy at 7.30pm so I dont see why they have to shut so early.

This is probably the only halal restaurant (or one of the couple) serving local halal food. All other halal restaurants in Taipei serve some kind of international food. If you'd like to get a feel for a typical local Taiwanese restaurant and taste good Taiwanese food, this is the place. This is not an upscale restaurant, you get only beef noodles (spicy or non-spicy) with some sides.

Was there with wife in April 2011. The owner is an 85 years old Muslim who has been selling beef noodle for the past 50 years. Two types of beef noodles- spicy and non-spicy soup-based. The portion given was very large. There were many diners there, even tourist from Hong Kong. Excellent beef noodles made better by the wonderful chilli paste. Had a wonderful chat with the owner and his chatty daughter and son.

I heard a lot about this place and the first place that I visited after touch down from the Plane. I find that the food is below my expectation :( It's an old restaurant and only serves beef noodle and a few side cold dishes.

One of the few Chinese halal restaurants in Taipei, well worth a special trip. The owner and chef was a very friendly Chinese Hajji who was very happy to see Muslims. The main (and only?) dish was the beef noodle soup (a Taiwanese specialty) and it was superb, with nice tender chunks of meat and lots of nice homemade noodles. The station (to correct the above review) is Zhongxiao Dunhua, once you get out onto Zhongxiao road go up about a few minutes and look for lane 223 on the left. Go down the lane a few minutes and it's on the left.

The place is easy accessible.Very tasty beef noodles & freindly staff.Have the chance to talk to the owner & he's a Muslim who's still practising the religion.Felt very safe with the Halal authenticity & the Imam of nearby mosque having his meal at the place too.A good place to have your meal as not only clean & the portion huge too.

The beef noodle is excellent, although the portion given is just too sumptuous! The place is easy to find, just near one of the subway station - was it Zhongxiao-Dunhua or Zhongxiao-Xinsheng (I cannot remember now)
