The place is always in and out with people. During lunch time on weekdays, they usually have their lunch set. Noodles, or the rice set with rice, veggies
Our muslim group been there last week on 17 May 2011...most of them find the place is quite good and nice food serving for us arrange by our tourist guide. They served Sweet Sour Fish, Chicken Curry, Sambal Prawns, omelette and some vege served wt rice. End of our meals they served us Teh Tarik almost similiar wt Teh Tarik in Malaysia. The owner Mr Yaacob also friendly, the food cooked by his wife. The Restaurant decor quite simple and complete wt clean restroom. A lot of currency is like a sign or souvenir which are placed underneath the cover of the table espacially Ringgit Malaysia currency. Most of them wrote on that they are really satisfied with the food and service.
Have been there last week. The place is easy to find, just behind the bicycle shop (GIANT). Food is quite expensive but the taste is good.
I was told that this restaurant serves Chinese Taiwan Food but ended up finding it serves Thai and Indian Food :( . Food portion was huge and tasty. I chose Sour Vege & Beef, Tom Yam soup, Stir fry Water Celery & Fried Fish for Dinner and thumbs up! Patrons from all over the World sign a souvenir which are placed underneath the cover of the Table ... Unique! Owner very friendly ensuring that Patrons are happy with the Food.
I've eaten here a few times. Food isn't bad, a lot of Muslims eat there.
Was there yesterday.Yaacob Mah is friendly and food served was nice and superb. I like the chicken massala and chilli deep fried fish. When you are away from home this is more than what you asked for.
I went to Taipei recently. Try to find this restaurant to look for halal Chinese food. I was disappointed to learn that this restaurant serves mainly Indian food, NOT Chinese cuisine. Even then, the Indian food is too mediocre and has poor value for money. If you look for halal Chinese food, don't bother coming to this place.
This is a great little place in Taipei where Halal food is guaranteed. Whenever I am in Taipei, I go out of my way to go there. Yocoub Mah is a Haji and has personally told me that all food is Halal. I like the lamb curry and chapati the best.
The owner is Yaacob Mah from Kunming. Very friendly and good food especially Tandori Chicken and Mutton Curry.
