Don't go there. This place is not how it used to be. Biryani now is basically overcooked rice with tasteless masala. We got two biryani few days ago, but didn't even finish one.

very good biryani. they had chicken only and said lamb biryani is only prepared on order. the owner said the meat was HMA certified halal.

I have never been to this restaurant. so i am not writing a review but wanted to know few things about this restaurant food. it's my daughter's birthday coming and i called this restaurant and gave my order which is hyderabadi biryani, tandoori chicken and kebabs. so i would be glad if you guys tell me how is tandoori chicken and kababs there? Thanks

i think that is the best place you could find because they have the best tasted the food befor everyone because i eat it evey day the owner is very nice he is my very close cousin of mine he says that he really likes working there beause the costmers are great.

Mmm...awesome food. Taste and price reminds me of the 'street-corner' kabab centres of Bangalore. Much needs to be improved on the hygine/cleanliness front though.

very tasty biryani, but kabab rolls are just okay. price is superb and quantity is the plus point of this restaurant. But plz maintain cleanliness.

Good lamb biryani. I was there last week and picked up biryani, having read some reviews here. the owner is a very kind and trusting gentleman. since I ordered six biryanis (3 chicken+3 Lamb) he also packed some bagarey baingan for us. Both the baingan and the biryani was excellent. I will rate the lamb biryani a very close second to Silverspoons lamb biryani, but it is much cheaper and the quantity and the meat content was very generous. The lamb was not full of gristle as in some other places. Next time I am there, I will try a few other dishes. In terms of cleanliness, this place needs improvement. I fear the health authorities may close him down if they pay him a visit. However the owner did say that he was looking for a new place to move too. He took over this site from an Afghani restaurant. Watch out! great potential here and certainly the know how to give Silverspoon a good run for their money. Helaty competetion is what makes the arena more interesting, authentic and a fun and affordable dining experience.

OH my god these people have the best biryani any where for $3 everyone is selling biryani for $3 but this is the best. Small but amazing food

when i went on vacation to chicago, Devon avenue.. ghareed nawaz's food blew us off.. Its really cheap and the taste is just spectacular..however dont order the chilli chicken,though they say its their specialty, in my opinion, its not..just regular chicken curry with red colouring in it.. but otherwise, go see them, great food, and prices.

This place used to be ok but now the food has a kind of "gas" taste to it. I was Very dissappointed the last time i visited Ghareeb Nawaz as it looks as if the quality is going downhill.

Excellent Taste ... and you get substantial food for $3. The owner is really nice .. and I give him two thumbs up for the taste he has managed to maintain. I strongly recommend this to students and people, willing to save money.
