BEST Butter Chicken in town!

Nihari was used to be their best dish. but since they moved at the new location its not as good as before. Their Take away naan taste like cardboard.

went to the school above this place. they had MICE. and yes, just like everyone said. the lady is downright RUDE

(Good Food + Good Price + Bad Service + Dirty Place) = 0. I guess the positives cancel out the bad? If you can overlook the negatives or are a blind person, you'll be pretty satisfied the kebab rolls and kheema-roti/paratha.

I was with a group of 10 young guys (18-25 years old). We all have been to Shahi Karahi before and liked the food but never worried about Service. However as soon as we stepped in the Lady Owner had a bad attitude, We didnt felt welcomed and she kept saying that they will close the doors at 10 pm repeatedly. I respect that they would like to close on time however, She made it feel as she will kick us out if dont finish our food before 10. Thats not how we would like to be treated! Lady should be knowing a bit more about customer service and not to judge people by their age , race or gender ! not everyone is what you think they are ! STOP discriminating people ! Eventually we cancelled the order and addressed the lady that we do not appreciate her attitude. I would never go their again, no matter how good the food is, but I would not choose or recommend SHAHI KARAHI ever again! Ratings: 0 - for customer service and 2 - for cleanliness

good for the price but there are some things they just dont know how to make.. like biryani i guess.. kababs are good though.. and so are lamb chops

Had take out and the kebabs were nice and spicey. I have heard from family the place is not the best and very clean.

The food is just poor. The place is dirty and run down looking and overall not a nice place to sit and eat. I'm sure the 'cook' was eating paan all the while cooking the meals.

The food is horriable, dirty appearance, insects crawling on the wall. Of all the reviews posted by me on this board, this is hands down the worst dump. The type of restaurant where you take your in-laws to ensure they never come back in town ;-) In all honesty, I contacted the City of Toronto health department after observing the state of affairs.

very dirty they take more time if they dont think your muslim. carter to pakistani ppl first. THEY DONT WASH THEIR HANDS after they take money from you. Then they prepare your food with dirty hands. WATCH OUT!

About a 18 months ago I enjoyed take out from this place. But, the food has definitely gone downhill since then. Once grilled, the food is sauted/fried with tomatoes and bell peppers which sounds appealing, but actually diminshes the grilled taste of the food. Though, I found the service impersonal, the staff were never actually rude. I do agree with some of the comments that the naan is quite good, same masalla and same taste for most everything etc. They probably serve one of the worst biryani's I have eaten in Toronto (I mean traditional Pakistani style biryani and not the East African type). My favourite remains Silverspoon's lamb biryani on weekends (avoid looking into their kitchen though). I think Shahi Karahi just blew what could have become a popular eating place had they kept their premises a little cleaner and, prices a little more reasonable and given their dishes a little more authentic taste.

The service is pathetic, we waited 20 mins no body came to us finally we came to know that we have to go to counter to order. But no body came and told us while every body saw us sitting. Food was very average.

I Disagree with everyone who gave this restaurant bad reviews...I thought the food tastes excellent! The people their were nice and the atmosphere was very Pakistani which was Perfect...Come on people why are you so Canadianized...we need a retsaurant with desi food, desi people,desi atmosphere and Desi Pakistani everything! I recommend everyone to come here, try the food and enjoy being in Pakistan again...Welcome HOME!

The most RUDE people I have ever met. The lady wears hijab so your first impression is that she is a nice Muslim lady, but she is very rude. Also the Man with white hair and moustashe (i think he is the owner) has this arrogant attitude and is also very rude. They should realize that customer service is above all else. I hope this restaurant closes down because that is what these people deserve. VERY RUDE TO ME AND MY WIFE.

Everything tastes the same. Just one masala and whatever u ask they will make it for u from that masala

Good food Dirty place

Chris Rutkis I dont know if you read any other reviews posted by people but it seems like a lot of people agree with me when I say that this place is unhygeinic and should definitely be avoided like silver spoon,I do not own any restaurants and just because someone gives a bad rating for a restaurant doesnt mean that they are competitors. I did say that their seekh kebab was good and roti as well.

I disagree with Abu Salem and Iqbal, those guys own other restaurants in scarborough and want to ruin the name of the restaurant, make your own judgement, my recommendation is butter chicken curry it was great and so was the service

Food was ok but the service was very poor. I went there once and dont' want to go back. Staff was rude. Menu had a lot of items but nothing was available except a few. Very expensive as compared to the quality of food.

The food here is good but I would recomend take out. NOt the best atmosphere.

I was tricked into going here because zabihah.com gave it a 5 star rating. It was the dirtiest restaurant I ever went to. The tables were covered with plates and dishes of previous patrons and there was no space to sit either, everything was so cramped. As for the food, well it gave me and my wife diarrhea, I had to go to the washroom 12 times in 2 days. The curry was so oily that the chicken was just floating in oil. Absolutely disgusting, all I could taste was oil. Even other first time comers were disgusted,we eventually walked out,service was too slow as well. Please muslim brothers and sisters dont spoil your stomachs by going there it is a disgrace and I am going to complain to the health department about their substandard food. No wonder it is so cheap.

I wanted to kill myself after going here,it was horrible. My wife walked out because the place was so filthy. I dont know how other people were sitting there amongst all this filth. The food was too oily my heart was hurting after eating the mutton do piaza. Roti was good though, and the sheek kebab. Service is very bad. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

This is a fairly new restaurant in Scarborough, but the food here is great. The service here is very good and atmosphere is very friendly. Also the food has Punjabi touch to it.
