Yes the Owner is a Lebanese Christian As for the halal, he may get halal depending on what you consider halal as food (Machine Slaughter or Hand Slaughter for Chicken's) That would be up to you to find out. Either way, best to stir away from venue that say they server halal and alcohol in the same place.

What I'd suggest before declaring a place Halal or Haraam or doubting if they serve Alcohol how can they be serving Halal is the follows: -I'd get the name of the meat supplier from the restaurants in question -Next, I'd call the meat supplier and confirm if they supply Halal meat to this particular restaurant. In most cases smaller outlets would get meat from local Desi/Muslim Halal meat stores, so their isn't a huge fuss about privacy or confidentiality etc.

This restaurant is indeed halal. They have a huge billboard, plus a sign in the restaurant. It is owned by Arab Christians, but they use halal only. I am a regular there, and I must say, it is the BEST beef shawarma in the entire GTA. Make sure to try it!
