Excellent food, typical low quality service and decor like most halal restaurants. Well worth the trip into rexdale.

I'm in Toronto for 10 years. This is the restaurant I visited the most. Love the food, service, tea. Every thing. Never once had any stomach problem. I take all my outside guests here proudly. I'm also of Pakistani decent.

The only restaurant I visited every time I visited Toronto. The food is almost the same, tasty, and a good portion.

The service was slightly above average. I had the Chicken dinner. Food tasted good but I had diarrhea the next day. However, this was my first time eating Somali food - and am not sure how this may have contributed to my diarrhea. I'm of Indo-Pak descent. Mango juice at this place is cheap and tastes good. The diarrhea I got will prevent me from going back, however. There seems to be a real problem at this place in that a more than a few people have gotten diarrhea after eating in it. STAY AWAY is what I would say.

I had the runs after going there. Food was average and selection on the menu was weak. Service was good though, but not the food.

too too dirty washroom, i can not explain you.after having a steak, my stomach start hearting, i went home, after that 04 time i went to washroom, all night my stomach heart,i call from home i inform to restaurant manager & he stat a new story with, no sorry no excuse.over all its bad food & dirty place.

Excellent food at Hamdi's! Also the restuarant is very nice and the people as well. For the food, I would recommend the Beef Stew and the Beef Steak. The Chicken was meh, and the goat was alright. Also free mango juice! One of the best somalian resto's in canada.

Very delicious food. Their steak and sphagetti is soo good! They also have free refills on your drinks.

my family brought food from hamdi home for my birthday and i was blown away...it was the perfect treat after a long days work...i love the food but sadly cant comment on the atmosphere of the place because i never went there but i wud LOVE to eat from there as often as i can...recommend the beef stew w/ rice and the steak w/ rice...u cud have the rice by itself and its so delctable but of course the meat helps lol i had never had somalian good before and hamdis food was more than excellent...i recommend it to everyone go chck it out

I visited Hamdi recently and it was different... The place looks good and there are a variety of food selections but the food, well im trying to find sumthing good to say but it was not that good. Quality needs improvement.I guess the place was okay but it was by no means top class food. I SUGGEST U TRY IT URSELF my opinion seems very different than others on this page. WHO KNOWS U MAY LOVE IT!

I went to hamdi and the food was excellent I think they need to open up a branch in Richmond Hill and in every other town in GTA!

oh, my god...the food here is sooooo good...i've had everything on the menu and you can;t go wrong. they are all so tasty, goat, chicken, beef...and the mango juice is so so good...a bgi thanks to the chef and the management of Hamdi...way to go guys!

my dad is the manager of hamdi restaurant i love it when he brings home some rice and chicken. it taste better than pizza. i recommed it to everyone.

I have only had the goat there, and each time I visit Toronto, i do my best to eat at Hamdi's. the staff is so friendly and will answer any question i have about the food. The portions are always so big i usually take some rice home with me. As i live in London Ontario, i dont get to Hamdi's often. I always look forward to my visits there. "

Unbelievable, the food is so good, that I had to make another trip to Toronto just to get some original Somalian food, in one day I went there for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, on my next trip I am planning to get some to go rice and goat meat, and I don't care if they stop me at the airport, this is how good the place is.

The food is excellent, healthy, tasty, and good proportions. Friendly staff too! Their rice is delectable! Recommendations: Grilled chicken dinner w/ rice, stewed beef w/ rice.

My friend and I are eating at this restaurant almost every Saturday after our Islamic Class, the food here is excellent, reasonable price, fast service and clean place, Masha Allah. They only serve Halal food.

This restaurant is an excellent restaurant. the food is plenty, the price is excellent and the taste is unimagineable! Go and try it for yourself!
