Been going here for almost 2 decades, feel old writing that. Always consistent food. Owner regular member of the Muslim community in Schaumburg. Always consistent quality and good fresh food at an unbeatable price. Quantity is always the right size. Although I have always done the lunch special with an occasional menu items, you can't go wrong with Pita House!

Went in for hummus and some snacks. Good, clean environment with adequate service. Waiter confirmed all meat is halal, although we did not try any of the meat dishes.

Even though from the environment this doesn't look like a Halal restaurant but I've found out that their meat is Halal. Not sure about their chicken & turkey though. Anyway, the food is OK. Not anything special but OK. Their futush salad is fine & I also like their sheesh kabobs. Service is good. Nice neat n clean environment. I would recommend this place for a dine out.

Great place to have some authentic Middle Eastern food. The hummos is really tasty and I love the baklava that is served here. The falafils are perfect and the portions in the sandwiches are great. Definitely a place to dine and enjoy.

Similar to Pita Inn and Pita Crave, they seem to have the same menu. I like the taste of the kefta the best, it's juicy the way I like it, but they are super tiny. I don't like the fact they give too much lettuce, it makes the sandwich dry no matter how much tahini you put on it. The place is pretty clean and the staff is nice. Overall, I would just say improve the meat quantity...

Food and service is okay, haven't been to this place for about 2 years now, since many other choices are available now.

The supercombo seemed at best average, would appreciate extra meat like served at pita grill couple miles away. But the guys running the place are nice, loved the juices.

Food is fresh and tasty and the service is good. However, they load up too much salad in the bottom of their pita sandwiches and put meat on the top to make it seem like it's overflowing with meat when in reality they're selling mostly salad in a pita. I'll drive the extra mile or two to Italian Express in Bloomingdale.

I live nearby and come here often. The food is always fresh, hot and well prepared. Customer servicer is friendly. There can sometimes be a long line in the evening from all the people who frequent this place.

Food is great but a little pricy. But the portion is enough where most will probably not finish it in one sitting. Overall above average.

I have eaten at this place more than 20 times and have never had a single bad experience. The food is very good and the portions are perfect. Even with all the people coming through there, they keep the dining room clean and tidy. The food is ordered cafeteria style and reasonably priced too.

I work nearby and enjoy their two regular lunch specials which are modestly priced. The quantity is enough for a quick and healthy meal. A friendly suggestion to the owner to improve lose the chip on his shoulder. It is apparent that his successful restaurant (at such a young age) may have gone to his head.

They need to work on there service, they seem to have an attitude buy eat, and get lost. Not very friendly. Other than that the food is not that great, and they offer very little portions compared to Pita Inn. I don't know why, maybe Zabiha is more expensive. Overall, this place has a great location, but if they worked on their servie, the food, and offered good portions, the sky's the limit.

I do know that they buy their chicken from Cresent. Asked Cresent myself. So I know for sure that it is Zabiha. Anything else, they say it is Zabiha.

I really like this restaurant. The hospitality of the staff is evident from the moment you step in. Good Arabic food, which is inexpensive. The food is Halal, however whether or not it is Zabiha is questionable. Overall, a good experience.

Oh no...after reading some reviews am baffled. We go here a lot coz it's close to work but now we have to seriously think about it. Maybe a FALAFAL and HUMMUS that's it.

This place is excellent. The food is always reliably good, the shawarma is great, kefta is even better and they have some of the best humous around. They're chicken, surprizingly, was under cooked and generally bland so I avoid that. Also, they have amazing filafel. They've always confirmed to me that they buy their meat from a supplier that claims it is Zabiha - the owner told me this on a couple of occasions and I trust him. I've mostly been to the Roosevelt location.

The food is good, but now here we go again about Halal or Zabhiah, all beef is halal so if you ask for halal and they say yes then the are right, even Mcdonalds burgers are halal (but not Zabihah) so halal should not even be brought up, just ask for The "Z" word people. I pray to Allah that he forgives me for where ever I eat because inside I am truly trying to stay away from haram/non Zabhiah food, as a traveler.

Very good zabiha halal place - CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN - managed and run by a cheerful group of palestinians. Good food in a clean atmosphere. What a change from other restaurants! They have a Lombard location as well, near the Villa Park masjid.

"I believe this restaurant has zabiha halal food, as my husband has confirmed it for me several times, same case with their Schaumburg location. But reading the second review on this page, now I am in doubt. The atmosphere is good, clean, good reasonably priced food under $10. I just hope Insha'Allah that it is zabiha halal as by now I have eaten there several times. "

"Excellent falafal pita sandwiches, but meat is highly questionable. They themselves claim that the meat is halal but not zabiha. You figure it out. But worth the trip for the non-meat stuff like Hummus, Tamarind Juice, etc. I believe it's the same story at other Pita House and Pita Inns across Chicagoland."
