New owners have halal certificate on display..good fast food

This is not "fast food" by any means. I've been twice, and had to wait at least 20 minutes both times for their spicey chicken. Both of my visits were at the dinner hour. One would assume that a popular franchise such as popyes would have food efficiently prepared for their busiest times. However, I was baffled to discover that this was not the case each time I went. The only reason I come back is that my family likes their food (Their not the ones who have wait for it!). The amount of people waiting was ridiculous as well! This combined with the high prices makes this place an unpleasant experience. The food is what makes up for the awful service and high prices. The chicken is quite tasty, even though it's greasy (afterall it's fried chicken folks!). Fries are good, and biscuits are also really tasty. Basically, I wouldn't out up with place if my family didn't like it so much as the good food does not trump the horrible service in my opinion.

Its halal fast food ,what else we need although pricey .

Great Halal food---but was very pricey--even for American Standards

I like the naked strips combo..but i have to agree, the prices are sky high and the chicken is quite dry sometimes.

I totaly agree with one kamran the food is totally greecy. an for what it's price the portions are too small. I think I would rather eat at the KFC, which is only halal at york uni. and it's all good.

Once again a great popeyes location! good food, it's pretty clean inside too, not the best service, but hey its a fast food place what can one expect.

wow, i can't believe that there are so many good reviews for such an awefull restaurant (if it can even be called that). The food in this restaurant is horrificaly greecy and has as much taste as dry wall. The few times I've visited (the last time on new years day after the celebrations at Nathan Philips), the place was extremely dirty and the food was extremely cold and it seemed that it had been pre-cooked days before and just reheated. The next day my cousin had food poisoning and I myself had stomach cramps- Not my idea of a new years hangover.

It is the best halal food in town, the taste is close to al-baik and we love it. they need to open more locations in GTA.

This restaurant is hype y'all. If you want the bomb chicken and are willing to pay an leg and a wing (hahahaha) for it, this is the place to eat. Owned and operated by the Muslim crew from Pakistaan this place does not disappoint. Get some Cajun rice - it's delish! And of course, the chicken has to be spicy... and always order some more biscuits. After you're all done, head over to the operating room for a coronary bypass! Wasalams my Toronto party people!
