Nice biryani. Decent prices. Maybe just a tad high but the food is quality. This place is really nice for families. Seems pretty clean

Loved the food! I tried their chicken biryani, butter naans and chicken tikka masala. All three were fantastic but the chicken biryani is one of the best I have ever tasted.

The food was catered in from this restaurant. Some of the dishes were very tasty however some of them were drowning in oil, not sure if this is intentional or this is the way it is prepared but you could see about half inch of oil floating at the top of the foil trays

I've noticed that the most run down places have the best tasting kebabs, and this place would be exactly that. Perfect place to go for takeout.

The place is kind of run down and not an ideal eat in place, only thing I like here are the seekh kebabs which are tender, well cooked and spicy. Worth a try if you're going for take out.

This place has been around for ages, so isn't it time for some sprucing up? It's embarrassingly run down. I guess they want to keep the dirty 'back home' vibe going. Fresh Naan kebab rolls are usually pretty good. I've never had the inclination to try anything else. I'd be afraid to.

Don't know about the price since I've never paid to eat here (my parents do), but the food is really nice. For a north indian restaurant it managed to satisfy a south indian like me. Not that high on decor but they MORE than compensate for it with their food. I think one of the chefs is Hyderabadi.

There kebobs are good but I noticed prices went up, they should have them like they had before. Good place to eat.

Whenever someone comes to visit, a trip to Gerrard to get Chandi Chowk's foot long kababs/naan is a must. The set-up leaves something to be desired with cheap vinyl seats, flies and old bollywood songs on a 15" TV but it is all worth it for their legendary kababs. You have to follow this meal up with the bhuttas next door.

I'm surprised NO one has written a review about this place! it's toronto's secret....the place isn't the best inside, but their naans are awesome! really tasty, spicy, and the portions are great. This place has the best BEST sikh kababs-they are just to die for. It takes some time before they get your order out if they are busy and the seating arrangment isn't the best, especially in the winter its cold, however once you get some chillies and the chicken tikka inside you- you forget about the draft!

I give chandi chawk a full five stars. I have fond memories of the first time I've dined there some 14 years ago. I've eaten there hundred of times since then and have found the quality of the food consistantly good. Chandi Chowk is on of the first places in Metro Toronto to have a tandori oven and still makes the best naan and kebabs in town. Unlike some establishments, Chandi Chowk does not pre-cook the kibabs and then fry them just before service. They're actually freshly cooked in the tandoori oven. Mind you, the service is a little surly at times, but if you can rise above that, the food is definely A+.

Went there with my wife recently. Got the worst experience of my life. The meat in "Lamb Champ" was very hard, heavily spiced with garam masala, and more than half were bones. They have serious misconception about "Chicken Tikka Masala". What we got in that name was just chicken fried in onion with plenty of oil. These two items came with total of 2 naans, and left us hungry. Deciding to give it another try, we ordered "Seekh Kabab". It was horrible. Looks like the cook has some infetuation with Garam masala. Naans were good. We spend $20 for what wasnt overall worth it. Dont go there.

"Best Naan Kebab in Toronto. It's huge (12") and cheap! The other entrees are equally good. There probably is no better value on Gerrard. "

"The best Naan Kabab I've ever eaten - made authentically in a tandoor oven, both naan and kebab melt in your mouth."

"This is a regular eatery for me and my family! This place is well-reputed for the best Naan Kabab in the country! And I could not agree more! Try it out ya'all! You will not be disappointed! Also try their chicken tikka... oh ya, before I forget, the main attraction is that the foot long Naan Kabab you get with 2 chutneys and a salad is only $4.00! You can't do better than that! An experience that will leave a terrific taste in your mouth!"
