Visited Karaikudi in early May as I was craving a good biryani. I had initially seen their food on Uber Eats and was impressed by the presentation, so decided to dine in instead. We ordered soups, chettinad egg curry, lacha paratha, ghee dosa, and boneless chicken biryani. The service was extremely quick, almost everything arrived at once, which unfortunately made the experience a bit difficult, since we couldn’t enjoy the dishes while they were still hot. By the time we moved from dosa to biryani to paratha, most items had already started to cool down. The lacha paratha was disappointing as it felt more like a frozen, reheated version. I even double-checked with the host to confirm if it was the correct item, and was told it was indeed lacha paratha. That said, the highlight of the meal was definitely the biryani, flavorful and satisfying, especially when paired with the chettinad egg curry gravy. Overall, decent food with one standout dish, but the timing of service and execution of certain items could be improved.
