Part of the Osmow's Shawarma chain — see all 238 locationsAs a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Grabbed a quick lunch here. It was not bad. The fries were cooked fresh, but everything else was warmed up to order. I ordered the lamb half and half box (lamb on top of rice and fries). Their garlic sauce doesn't seem to exactly like the regular toum you'd expect from a shawarma place. They also only included a tiny squirt of tahini. Their hot sauce is pretty good though. Overall it was ok but I'd stick to a local shawarma joint.
