Their meat (uncooked) is by far the best meat quality in the city. The store is very clean and they are always well stocked. I have only tried their cooked Fataayir and it was pretty good. I don't know if they still do sandwiches and other items anymore, but I do drive all the way from the south to their store to buy meat even though there are many options in the south. They also sell many other mediterranean products and are well stocked. ***UPDATE*** I had them cater my daughter's 'Aqeeqah, and the food was really good. You pretty much just tell them how many people it is for, and they'll tell you what you need and give you options. They prepared for me rice, roasted potatos, roasted lamb, roasted chicken, lamb and chicken samosas, salad, humus, etc. Meat was really moist and tender. If I had one grievance it would be that the rice was sticky/mushy - but I've had their rice at other catered events and this was not an issue.
I have been very disappointed in their services. Their prices are very high compare to other halal stores, and their products aren't always good. The store is very clean though compare to the rest of the halal stores in Edmonton. The other thing that really bothers me is the fact they don't have their prices shown but again that is common to all halal stores I've been to.
i tried their meat was excellent the best i've had and thier chicken is imaculate clean and i have tried their catering at my friends house and it was delicious thank you westgate for the ausome service.
kafta sandwitch was spewing blood because was 1/2 raw, shawarma was nothing more that lettuce chicken and mayo, strange smell from both beef and chicken, could not finish and very sick in a few hours, save your health and wealth, not worth the time / money, the worst place i have ever had the displeasure of dining.
The shawarma and kabab sandwiches are very good. Always fresh and loaded with flavour.
Not consistent experience. I shopped once and I was very happy with the service and products. Another time the place smelled badly, the clerk ignored me and the product didn't have price attached, and I certainly overpaid. The best business practice is to keep standards high, clean frequently and provide training to all employees. I am ready and willing to expand my shopping beyond big box grocery chains, but the experience has to be consistent. Please improve and I will shop more frequently.
