My friend and I were sightseeing around San Francisco and looking for somewhere that served genuinely healthy food. It turned out to be harder than we expected, so we were delighted when we stumbled across Kayma. This lovely restaurant is run by a wonderful couple serving authentic Algerian food, and it was one of the most enjoyable meals we had during our visit. I had a delicious bowl of chickpeas and vegetables along with a fresh salad, and everything was full of flavour while still feeling wholesome and nourishing. An amazing surprise was the baklava. It was quite simply exceptional and unlike any baklava I've tasted before. What made Kayma so special wasn't just the quality of the food, but the feeling that every dish was prepared with genuine care and love. It's rare to find food that is both incredibly tasty and genuinely nourishing for the body. If you're in San Francisco and looking for healthy, authentic Algerian cuisine made by people who clearly care about what they do, I couldn't recommend Kayma more highly.
