Before I came in I was having a particularly tough day, so I decided to look up a cozy spot to draw and grab a drink. Today was my first time here and I got an iced Chailo Latte. It was sweet, but not cloyingly sweet — just right! I sipped it over the course of maybe 2-ish hours and drew a lil colored pencil still life of it. As a barista at a larger chain, it’s really easy for me to get caught up in the grind, but cozy welcoming spots like this remind me that coffeehouses are more than just a transactional place to grab a drink. Sarah the barista was so friendly and I really enjoyed chatting with her. The staff were all so genuinely kind and sweet when I showed them the sketch I worked on! 😅🙈 I’m sadly not local to the area, but I could see myself frequenting this cafe if I was. 🥺💗
