As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
Went to Osmow’s Shawarma recently and overall it was pretty good. The food was fresh, tasty, and the portions were solid for the price. Their shawarma and sauces are always a hit. Staff were friendly and the place was clean, which is nice to see. Service was decent too, just a bit slower when it gets busy. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the wait time can be a little long during peak hours, and the spice level isn’t always consistent. Still, a good spot if you’re craving shawarma
