Disappointing all around. We ordered the regular beef shawarma with no pickles and the regular chicken, both of which came with wedge fries. We also tried the triple chocolate cake. First problem, I specifically ordered no pickles and my shawarma came loaded with them. If a customer makes one simple modification, getting it right should be the bare minimum. The fries were unremarkable. The triple chocolate cake was the low point, dry and crumbling apart, nothing close to the rich dessert the name implies. I noticed some reviews calling this the closest thing to authentic Middle Eastern food without booking a flight. If that’s the bar, it sets a grim expectation for the real thing, because what we got would not pass anywhere in the Levant. Good shawarma is not hard to find done well, and this was not it. For a place that bills itself as “Shawarma King,” the execution did not live up to the name. Between the ignored order and the dry cake, there’s no reason to come back. I’d skip it.
