As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
The restaurant replied asking me to share my contact info via a link so they could follow up. I did, except the link doesn’t even work, and unsurprisingly, no one ever contacted me. So their response looks nice publicly, but there was zero actual effort to fix anything or even acknowledge the problem. Based on both the terrible food and the empty customer service response, I stand by my original review. Definitely not recommended. One of the worst shawarmas I’ve ever had. The bread was old and stale, the meat was clearly reheated, and half the wrap was disgusting gristle. I lost my appetite after a few bites. The fries were literally cold and the rest were completely inedible. And for almost $16 CAD? Total rip-off. Absolutely terrible quality. Not recommended at all. Edit: the link you sent isn’t working!!
