Absolutely MIND BLOWING. I recently tried the Birria taco at CDMX Melbourne Central Mexican Food in the Ella Precinct at Melbourne Central, and it absolutely delivered. I only ordered the Birria taco, but honestly, it was enough to make a lasting impression. The beef was incredibly tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and packed with rich, deep flavour. You could taste the spices in every bite without it being overpowering. The meat was juicy and generous in portion, and the consommé on the side took it to another level. The small tub was enough to dunk 3 of my tacos into. Every bite, dipping the taco into that warm, flavourful broth made it even more indulgent. The tortilla was perfectly cooked with that slight crisp on the outside while still being soft enough to hold everything together. It wasn’t greasy, just beautifully balanced. The melted cheese, fresh toppings, and hint of acidity from the salsa cut through the richness perfectly. Even though CDMX can get busy, the service was efficient and friendly. They provide napkins and had a modest drinks selection, get the Jarritos to pair with your tacos. If the Birria taco is anything to go by, CDMX knows what they’re doing. I’ll definitely be back to try their other offerings, but I’d happily order that same taco again without hesitation. Got the Best Birria Tacos in Melbourne in 2023, why not for 2026 too?
