Barcelos opened its first store in Pretoria, South Africa in 1993. Using recipes mastered by the Portuguese hundreds of years ago, our flame grilled flavours became so popular that we franchised the business in 1998. Since then we have opened outlets in 16 countries including SA, Lesotho, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Canada, UK, Dubai, Oman, Mauritius, Singapore, and soon in Pakistan, India & Qatar.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Selected Barcelos locations are certified Halal by ICSA.
food was great the absolute greatest. But had no change. took 45 minutes to make 2 wraps. took the order and forgot about us. reordered and had to wait again. the tellers are so slow and unfriendly there's actually no atmosphere or assitance and no one had knowledge of anything when asked.
