I'm from out of town and have been wanting to try Cris & Johns for so long and I can say it was absolutely worth the wait! Friendly and efficient customer service. I got the angry pho birria platter and the lychee hibiscus tea. This tray has just enough spice; The beef short ribs were flavorful and tender but I can NOT get over the bread that was used for the bao... perfectly baked, absolutely perfect! The pho broth and noodles were another hit. I love that the wings here offer something different, I really enjoyed the bang bang sauce and sweet&sour flavors, the wings are fried crispy, they were still crispy when I microwaved them at the hotel. The fries were also fried crispy and seasoned. The drink list was such a treat, it was hard picking what I wanted to try but the lychee hibiscus tea and ube horchata were a flavorful and refreshing experience.

Be prepared to stand in line. It took us 20 to get to the door and another 20 before we sat down. The place is rrally cute. Decorations are a mixture of mexico and Vietnamese. That makes up this wonder mix of foods and are really good. They pasted out menus so that helped. We got an horchata, beef pozole ramen, and the birria phorrito. Food was great! The platters are definitely for two people and the ramen bowls is also enough food with plenty of protein in them. If like like Mexican food and Vietnamese food you've love this combination!

My friend and I have actually tried Cris & John before at their previous location and I thought they were packed out before!! I met up again with my friend for another time, this time at the new location. CONGRATULATIONS to this establishment on the new location, praying for 20 more like these! I ordered the seasonal heart shaped tray that had the angry birria consome, 4 birria tacos with cilantro and onions and a lime, I decided to be extra and get the spicy chili wings with a side of ranch and their horchata drink. Everything was a 12/10! I really did enjoy my second time here at Cris & John and even with the distance, I shall return! Love the new layout and design of the building and next time, will take photos with the balloons and all. Thanks to the team that took our order, kept checking if we needed anything and made sure that everything was fine for us from top to finish! Management is doing an AMAZING job! Keep it up

We tried the Angry Pho Birria platter for two and everything was honestly so good. The platter came with birria baos, birria tacos, wings (we got the sweet chilli), and a spicy short rib pho…all packed with flavor and cooked perfectly tender. There was a line out the door to order when we arrived, but it moved pretty quickly. This is definitely a casual pop-in spot: you order, get seated, food comes out fast, you eat, and you’re on your way. No fuss, just good food. Every item was seasoned really well, the birria was rich and flavorful, and the pho had a great spicy depth. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing. Simple setup, great execution. We’ll definitely be back!

I came for the Pho but after seeing everything they have to offer, I could hardly decide. They have some amazing combination plates but I opted for the beef ramen and im so glad I did! Deep flavors, tender beef, fresh garnishment and insanely delicious broth. I asked for hosin and sirracha sauce but didnt need either it was absolutely perfect. Even though I opted for the patio seating the interior was spacious and clean. No line at 1pm, friendly staff and my meal was delivered quickly. I LOVE the Mexican spin on old favorites. I would love to have one close to me downtown Dallas, but i will be coming back to sample a bunch of other items and will update the review soon. Shoutout to the staff who were super pleasant, checked on the patio patrons 4 different times. Incredible service, well worth the price AND the drive no matter where you are coming from. Do yourself a "flavor" and eat here, you won't be disappointed.
