Craving some burgers and wanting to try somewhere new in OC led me to Sign. Initially, I walked in thinking it was going to be another "fast food burger joint" but walked out craving another burger. They have few tables along the wall and a long window table for solo eaters. Upon entering, you're greeted by the owner, who was super accommodating and friendly. I ordered the signature and the double burger meal (w/ loaded fries). The loaded fries are one of the best. It doesn't aesthetically look "all that" but it just HITS. The jalapeños and grilled onions balance out the cheese and bacon. As for the signature burger, the crispy cheese was a great complement to the perfectly seasoned patties. The texture of the cheese was just right: a nice balance of almost crispy but also gooey with a small cheese pull. Perfection. I haven't had a good smash burger in OC for a while, so this was a pleasant surprise. The establishment is located within a plaza, so parking can get a bit difficult when busy, but I came in on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of spaces available. I will definitely be back. A++!
