The chicken and fries are always great! We order ahead on the app, then bring it home to enjoy. *Add 5 to 9 mins to the pick-up estimate. I think they are still adjusting the algorithm for better scheduling* The staff is friendly and proud of their excellent product. The atmosphere is very austere, so we always take the delicious food home. *Parking lot can get intense, but there are a few spots in the nearby shopping center. "We'll be back!"

A great place for takeout. The fried chicken has one of the best texture I've ever had. Crispy on the outside and tender&juicy inside. Food isn't pre-cooked and dine-in order would take some time (20-25mins for me) to prepare. A suggestion: chicken is mostly seasoned outside and only lightly season inside. It'll be more flavorful if the meat can be marinated with more spices (e.g. white pepper)

Found this place while looking for a new fried chicken spot on my way north out of Newport. Boy, was it good! The positive reviews are spot on... Chicken sandwich was crispy, crunchy on the outside, super tender and moist inside, with a tasty sauce and crisp slaw. I got it "hot" which is their middle heat and being a guy who likes it spicy, I wish I'd gone with extra hot, though hot will be plenty hot for most people! The fries with Cajun pepper were really good, and while the portion size was just right, I felt like I could have eaten another order the same size as soon as I finished! Ha! So good. I'll be back. Really enjoyed my meal, which came out quick and hot. The patio out front is a nice spot for a quick meal.

New edit: I was so impressed with the chicken I came back. They got my order wrong, it came out late. It was waiting in the window before getting it to me, so the food was cold. The workers seemed unhappy. Old edit: The lunch deal was good. The fries were tasty (had the cajun) and the leg and thigh combo was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I had medium spicy and it was perfect. I also had the chicken burger. I wasn’t a fan of the bun, but it was ok. I would recommend the fried chicken over the chicken burger. The owner was friendly.

Krispi Hot Chicken truly delivers on flavor and quality. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of spice to suit my taste. I appreciated that they offer various spice levels, making it easy for everyone to enjoy their meal, whether you prefer mild or crave a fiery kick. Their menu is simple but well-curated, featuring options like sandwiches, tenders, and loaded fries. I ordered the chicken sandwich, among other things to try and it was incredible—flavorful, generously portioned, and served with a side of crispy fries that were seasoned to perfection. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality you’re getting. I also loved how clean and inviting the restaurant was, which is always a big plus. If you’re a fan of hot chicken or just looking for a new spot to try in Tustin, Krispi Hot Chicken is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more from their menu!
