Visit date: 16 Mar 26 Actual rating: 4.25 Their nasi padang is really yummy... but your pocket will feel the pinch 😆 I had rice with beef rendang and curried veg, which apparently made up a $7.50 set. Bergedil was priced ala carte at $1.50 apiece! The beef was mostly tender while I did get 2 pieces which tasted "old" (i.e tough) 😥 The rendang was savoury and fragrant, so shiok 😋 Curry sayur was light and the gravy wasn't too lemak to become cloying. Wifey told me this is the same curry used in their lontong dish... which means #MHTamChiak would be returning for a light meal 👍 Their bergedil was indeed tasty and not overly deep fried. But I did wonder how to justify that price tag for a simple (imho) potato patty 🤔 The teh tarik served here deserved mention too, for that characteristic (not so) spicy taste which is missing from most Indian tea places. Btw, wifey had rice with chicken curry and bergedil too. $6.90 for her meal... but I must say the chicken piece was way too small to be satisfying!
