As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
Honestly, I was super bummed about the food. I got a lamb OzBox and a chicken OzBox, both with rice and Greek salad. They told me the Greek salad would be an extra dollar for each, and I was like, "No problem." But when I got home, I was so disappointed. The lamb was just burnt crumbs, no actual pieces, and the chicken barely had any meat. Plus, both were drowned in so much sauce it almost hid the little bit of meat in the boxes. I'm never going there again.
