408 Knickerbocker Avenue, Paterson, NJ
Ulu Camii, a mosque serving Paterson's Turkish community, aims to provide religious services and teachings, preserve and perpetuate Islamic culture without involvement in politics, foster a greater and better relations and understanding among Muslims and between Muslims and people of other religions. To do this, the mosque provides formal education to the members of the Muslim community and their children, maintains a library, publishes magazines, pamphlets and other publications to help disseminate the Islamic teachings and the social news of the community, and raises funds for expansion and further maintenance of the Center.
