Islamic Center of San Joaquin Valley

The Islamic Center of San Joaquin Valley is located on Ming Avenue in Bakersfield, California, directly across from the Bakersfield fairgrounds. Due to its location on Ming Avenue, it is affectionately referred to as the 'Ming Masjid' even though the official name is the Islamic Center of San Joaquin Valley. The Islamic Center of San Joaquin Valley just completed an outstanding multi-year project in which a brand new facility was constructed from the ground up. The grand opening was held in July 2009. The new facility was designed and built to provide a variety of services to the growing Muslim population in Bakersfield and includes, in addition to the main prayer hall, multiple classrooms, administrative offices, and a multi-purpose room. Jummah khutbah starts at 1 pm.
