Acton Mosque and Madrasa was established on Friday 21st March 1987. The mosque plans to expand with a structure of at least two floors, costing in the region of £2 million, including a prayer hall to accommodate 6-700 brothers and 50 sisters, a library, wudhu facilities, and Imam accommodations. The Acton Muslim Welfare Association is a registered charity (Number 291264). All trustees, volunteers and management committee members who give their time and valuable support are unpaid.

The mosque is undergoing renovations to expand its size. They hold all services, juma and Eid salat. The leadership of the mosque is Asian, a lot of talks are given in Urdu.
