Went here during Ramadan for iftar and Maghrib. They had a full iftar and were very welcoming towards us. There's a separate masjid for sisters and the sisters were very welcoming to wife.

Came to this masjid for jumma and was not disappointed! The Arabic khutbah is preceeded by a talk in Chinese for about 25 minutes. The congregation was mostly Chinese with some foreign businessmen and tourists as well. The masjid and the adjacent women's masjid were both clean and well kept and my wife met many welcoming sisters who were also there for jumma (the khutbah is audible in the ladies section via speakers). After prayers, carts outside of the mosque sold grilled kebabs, Uyghur naans and sweet breads, as well as dried fruit and nuts. The mosque itself also sells souveneirs including books, hats, vases, porcelain items, and tea sets with Islamic Chinese calligraphy.

this was closed for renovations when i went Feb/10 but the locals seemed very friendly even though they cant speak english. close to the Laoximen Metro station, there is a muslim restaurant when you are walking from the station along Fuxing Rd East and they can also give you directions to the mosque
