The masjid is large and has good parking. It has ample space for prayers, as well as a good community. It also has other features like a kitchen and hall, as well as a full sized gym and youth sports teams.

We've lived in the Albany area for the past year--and have come to love the community at ICCD. They have a wonderful new Muslim Community Center where Jummah, Eid, and other services are held. The women's bathroom is large--with a wonderful area for wudu. They even have a room where women can breastfeed. The Weekend school is top notch--meeting Friday nights and Sundays. Eid prayers and Jummah prayers are both well attended. There is a particular African brother who works as a chaplain in the prison system who gives wonderful khutbahs. Highly recommend this masjid and community.

ICCD is perhaps the main masjid for Albany, though it holds fewer people than the others. It has a full-time Imam who offers weekend lectures and appears sometimes in the local newspaper when asked about issues concerning Muslims. It's across the street from an Islamic elementary school, and a halal grocer. The community is friendly and diverse, and the masjid feels overall welcoming.
