Islamic Center of San Diego

7050 Eckstrom Avenue, San Diego, CA

Sunni (Traditional)

The ICSD resides in the heart of Claremont and is the largest Mosque in San Diego County. Our mission statement is to serve the religious needs of the San Diego Muslim population and work with the larger community to serve the less fortunate, to educate, and to better our nation. The regular activities held at ICSD are the five daily prayers, Friday prayer and sermon, and a variety of educational talks and seminars. We also work with other Mosques in San Diego county in sponsoring and holding events for the local Muslim community. In addition to these programs, ICSD is increasingly branching out in working with other San Diego organizations for social causes of interest to all people of faith.

Excellent Masjid. Probably the biggest. Excellent imams, Sheikh Abdul-Jalil and Sheikh Taha. Amazingly knowledgeable. I would suggest listing to any of the talks they give as you will surely learn something from these humble scholars.

Recently visited San Diego and had pleasure of praying juma here- got the address off Zabihah.com- great community, educated imam, convenient extra parking in church next door- and it's around 20 minutes from the airport. Nicely renovated masjid mashallah.

The mosque is right off I-5. It was busy during magrib time of Ramadan, and it has a small store, which I though was a bit overpriced, but regardless the money is going to the mosque.

I attended a Friday salat there recently. They hold two Jumuah salats and I attended the second one. It is a beautiful building and very easy to get to. The imam was very good probably from middle east. After salat ,I found a quick pantry type store in the masjid. This store sells bread and all necessities which you may need. There was lunch also being sold in the kitchen area and had a long line, so if you need to eat something, be in line right after the salat. Wudu area was clean. I had a wonderful experience. The attendees were a mixture of Muslims from all over th e world.
