Wonderful masjid. Lots of classes available, especially in the outreach department for new muslims. Great community. Large, nice building.

This masjed formerly an HP building. It is huge. During Friday prayer you feel as if you are in the Middle East. The Imam does not know his stuff very well. My husband has corrected him a few times in his speeches, because my husband has attended Al-Azhar University. When my husband asked him for a job his reply was, "We do not know you, so we cannot help you." This comment demonstrates his lack of Islamic knowledge.

Well-run administration. Very large scale unit. Offers good quality and intellectual enhancing programs. Pound for pound, MCA probably has more offerings to its community members than any other center/Masjid in the Bay Area. This is a Sunni masjid.

Read all the comments below----- I agree with them........I don't know what I can say except I witnessed this masjid/Islamic center/community go from a pebble to a landmark........ You have to go there to see what all the comments really mean......I assure you that you will be amazed......

The masjed has excellent programs run in a professional manner. I would not suggest requesting the Shaikh to assist you with finding a spouse since he does not have the time to get to know the brothers he would send to you. The kutba should be done by an experience Imam or Sheikh one who has lived and studied abroad. There really needs to be several full time Imams. There needs to be a way new immigrants can find a job through the Muslim community. I have volunteered at the MCA for various projects and I always felt everything was run very well.

Very nice facilities and run very efficiently. Good programs very week, MashaAllah. Downside is they don't have a regular Imam full-time and they have become so big as an organization that they have lost some of the closeness and family-like feeling from when they first started. They also have moved away from holding traditional Islamic programs and events such as Mawlid, Ashura, 15th of Shaban, etc.

Very nice facilities mashaAllah and great people! The AlMaghrib classes are great but other than that they need to work on partitions for banquet hall events and other things of the likes.

The women pray in the main prayer hall, behind the men, behind a glass partition. You can see and hear the imam. Bathrooms are clean and adequate. Plenty of activities. I enjoyed my visit here.

One of the largest masajid in the United States, and one of the best organized. Masha Allah they do a lot of activities, driven in large part by a dedicated, action-oriented exec board as well as a full-time program manager and a part-time dawah director. Full disclosure: my dad used to be on the board. But I sincerely feel that the above comments still hold true, and I am sure others will attest to this. One downside: because the community is so huge, it has lost a lot of the personal feel, where people come up to you if you are new and ask you if you need help. That doesn't happen too much anymore.
