As a young bright chef and business man, Sam Osmow took over Polar Submarine as his own business. Sam experimented with his own recipes and came up with truly delicious meals. He soon felt the need to work on changing the whole concept of the restaurant - making it a business he can easily relate to. He reopened up as Osmow's, a truly Mediterranean restaurant at 251 Queen Street South, Unit 1, Mississauga, thereby presenting his new healthy and mouth watering meal selections.
Staff has given verbal assurance of halal status. Osmow's states that their meats are sourced from central halal-certified suppliers and that all of its meat is hand-slaughtered.
Score reflects admin-confirmed halal status; no additional evidence on file yet.
Osmow’s Shawarma offers a good variety of Mediterranean‑inspired options, and the portions are generally generous. The food has solid flavour, but the consistency can vary from visit to visit—sometimes everything is fresh and well‑seasoned, while other times the quality feels a bit rushed. Service is usually efficient, though peak hours can lead to longer waits and less attention to detail. Overall, it’s a convenient spot for a quick meal, but there’s room for improvement in consistency and overall execution.
