We really wanted to love this place. We previously ate at Ted's Bulletin and had a genuinely five-star experience. It felt special, polished, and like the kind of brunch spot you get excited to return to. So when we found this location closer to home, we were honestly excited. The experience started strong. The hostess was warm and welcoming, and our server was friendly. At first, everything felt on point and the atmosphere had a similar vibe to the Mosaic District location. Unfortunately, the entire experience fell apart toward the end of the meal. We were left waiting for long stretches, empty plates and finished drinks piled up on the table, and the overall energy completely shifted. The service became inattentive and disconnected. The worst moment was when another waitress or food runner brought dessert while our table was still cluttered with dirty plates and several empty glasses. I politely asked if she could please clear the table first. Her reaction honestly shocked me. She looked visibly irritated, glanced around as if annoyed she had to deal with it, then aggressively stacked plates and glasses together in a rushed, careless way that made the situation awkward and uncomfortable. It was honestly embarrassing. To me, bringing dessert to a table covered in finished plates and empty drinks just feels like basic service standards were completely missed. It gave the impression that nobody really cared about the guest experience once the main meal was over. The food itself was mixed. I will say they make one of my favorite old fashioneds—seriously excellent. On a previous visit, I had the French onion dip sandwich and loved it. This time, I ordered the branzino and thought it was good. My wife usually loves salmon, but the blackened salmon really missed the mark for her. Overall, I’m honestly not sure I’d recommend this location. If you want to try this restaurant, I'd say you're better off going to the VA location. This location felt less like a polished dining experience and more like an oversized chain restaurant trying to keep up, with inconsistent service that ultimately ruined the evening.

We had such a wonderful experience during brunch! The service was absolutely amazing, and our server Lesly truly made our visit special. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect for our table. From the moment we sat down, she checked in at the right times, had great recommendations, and kept such a positive energy the whole time.

This was one of the most concerning dining experiences we’ve had. Our server was condescending, never once checked on our table, and responded with a dismissive attitude when we attempted to politely address issues. Basic hospitality was completely absent. More troubling were the food safety concerns. The salmon was filled with bones — not an occasional small one, but numerous bones throughout the dish — creating a clear choking hazard. Properly deboning fish is a fundamental kitchen responsibility, and this level of negligence is unacceptable. On top of that, our order was incorrect (water served with ice despite requesting no ice, and a burger not prepared as specified), and the fried chicken was dry and severely overcooked. Between the unsafe food preparation and the unprofessional service, this experience fell far below any reasonable standard. We will not be returning. Oh and if you like the Ted’s bulletin in DC, don’t come here. We really enjoyed the food and service at that other location and the food here all tastes like poor imitations.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great First Experience — My New Brunch Spot! I didn’t land on Ted’s Bulletin intentionally—my original restaurant had a 45-minute wait, so I searched nearby options and Ted’s popped up. I’m SO glad it did. For a Sunday around 1:30 PM, I was shocked that my wait time was barely a minute for a table. The place was buzzing, smelled incredible, and had such a warm brunch/dinner crowd energy. Homemade Treats & Pop Tart They have fresh homemade cakes displayed right in front, which immediately caught my eye. I didn’t try a slice this time, but I did try one of their seasonal homemade pop tarts—the apple flavor. My honest take: • The filling was AMAZING once I got to it • But my particular tart had more crust than filling at first • Once I got to the corner with more apple filling, it was delicious It came included with my meal, so I appreciated being able to try it without paying extra. I do plan to try one of their chocolate cakes next time because they looked incredible. The Food Was the Star My sister ordered the seasonal apple pancakes, and those were a 10/10—fluffy, well-balanced, and perfectly done. I’m normally a pancake girl, but I decided to try something different and ordered the fig sourdough toast. Let me just say: That toast was EVERYTHING. I don’t even like nuts on my food, but all the flavors complemented each other so perfectly. It ended up being the highlight of my meal, which is saying a lot because everything else coming out of that kitchen looked flawless. Menu Variety That Actually Impresses As I looked around, I could not stop admiring everyone else’s plates: • The table across from me had a whole Branzino that I’m 100% ordering next time • Someone else had a steak and cheese with the craziest cheese pull and the most generous amount of steak I’ve ever seen on a sandwich • I saw the rancheros and must try those as well It felt like every table had something different—breakfast, dinner, brunch—and everything looked picture-perfect. Craft Coffee + Great Atmosphere They also have a barista, so the coffee options looked thoughtfully crafted, not generic. The space itself felt lively but comfortable, perfect for families or a brunch date. Final Thoughts Ted’s Bulletin completely won me over. The food, the variety, the quick seating, and the overall atmosphere made it an easy 5 stars. I was originally looking for a place to take my husband for his birthday, canceled my old reservation, and decided that this is where I’m bringing him and the rest of my family. So glad I stumbled across this place. I’ll definitely be back—several times.
