Ayat is a bistro where you will find honest, authentic Palestinian food made with love. I am confident you will find this here because this bistro was created in honor of my wife, Ayat. She is a Palestinian lawyer with a real passion for food. Ayat is honest, hardworking, and loves her career; but there is a different kind of love that radiates through her when she is cooking. Seeing this passion in her and experiencing her delicious food, it was clear to me that the community needed to experience this too. So I created a bistro named after her where she can come to cook with local ingredients sourced from our FalahiFarms. Space where she can share her passion for food with the community she loves and works hard for.

We tried the cigar rolls with cheese, fried halloumi, malfouf, and mansaf. First of all, the décor was absolutely beautiful, with so much Palestinian art throughout the space. It truly felt like you were stepping into the dining room of a Palestinian home. The cheese cigar rolls were delicious, they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and generously filled with melted cheese. The fried halloumi was a little too salty for my taste, but if you enjoy saltier cheeses, you might love it. The ikras bi lahma was amazing, packed with plenty of flavorful ground meat. I actually dipped it into the mansaf sauce, and it tasted incredible. If you’re ordering both dishes, I highly recommend trying them together. Lastly, the mansaf was our favorite dish of the night. The lamb was unbelievably tender, falling apart with the slightest touch of a knife. It was rich, comforting, and full of complex, well-balanced flavors in every bite. Overall, we had an amazing meal, and the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. We’ll definitely be coming back, it’s worth every penny.
