Part of the Naz's Halal Food chain — see all 44 locationsNaz’s Halal Food was founded by Naz and Kareem, two cousins who were public school teachers at the same New York City school. In 2009, NHF opened a food truck in Queens, NY as a “side business,” inspired by their family’s life-long involvement in restaurant ownership. From humble beginnings, NHF opened its first brick and mortar restaurant in January 2018. Through hard work, dedication, and maintaining family values, Naz’s Halal Food is building their brand by treating customers, employees and licensees like family.
A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises. All of their meats (including chicken and lamb) are 100% halal.

Naz’s Halal is definitely one of the best halal spots in the Glen Allen/Richmond area. Great taste, solid portions, and a reliable go-to for a satisfying meal. The Food was quick and Fresh. Highly recommend! Thanks to Oneeb for Helping me out and being such a great server
Another halal option in Short Pump area you will find @nazshalal in the Walmart shopping plaza! They offer combo platters to wings! Customer service was good, the space was clean and welcoming! We ordered the combo (chicken and lamb) which comes with rice and salad, seasoned well and good portion 4.2/5 and I had a craving for some fries and baby theirs are served piping hot and stayed hot as we consumed them (no pic is bad lol but they were so good 5/5). Oh they are open Sun-Thurs until 2a and Fri-Sat until 4a! Late night foodie dream lol! Give them a try!
Dined in with the family and really loved this place! Food is great, portions are very generous and pricing is reasonable. Only issue I really had was how stuffy it was in the restaurant on a relatively warm day. I had the chicken & lamb over rice combo, the kofta kebab over rice, and a cheeseburger. The chicken & lamb combo has to be my favorite in Richmond so far. The size of the meat chunks is much larger than competitors, and the rice is way less greasy as well. The sauces are very good, especially the red hot sauce, which is definitely the best in comparison to the competitors, in my opinion. The kofta kebab was quite good and flavorful and offers a nice change from the usual Halal Cart platter. The cheeseburger wasn't bad, but nothing special per se. All in all, will definitely be coming again soon.
